I have only gained friends thru twitter. I see that it’s a common thing for ppl to get annoyed & pissed over comments. I don’t take twitter that seriously b/c I don’t know the majority of these ppl anyway.

Twitter is great! omg I actually connected with people that I’m more closer to than some people that I talk to on a daily basis. lol I know its weird but it seems like we’ve known each other for years. I like twitter alot. It’s alot better than myspace or facebook. But my life hasn’t really changed that much. Anything I don’t want to get out, I don’t bother posting it on the internet whether it be twitter or any other social network. that’s stupid to me. Besides twitter doesn’t run my life. I like it. Mann! Twitter has been a plus and a minus! It def gives me a chance to reach out to some people that I wouldn’t be able to talk to on a regular basis. On the other hand it has gotten me in some trouble too! One situation that I wish never happened on twitter was with me and Angela (pastry). She blocked me one day and I was crushed! I think it was because I wrote on Vanessa’s wall and said something like “You know your a Fox! Just stay Humble for me!” This was during the whole Macy’s Event, and I guess she saw that and wasn’t feeling it! I was just trying to be sweet to her sister. I would never try to get with her sister. I swear! ! I dont know… She got me going JD! We are cool now but my head was jacked up for a min over that! lol

My friends dont even know that I have a Twitter or a Youtube account so I’m pretty good in that area. I don’t say anything bad about them in Tweets either cuz I know what could happen. I’ve met some pretty coo people from Twitter. I talk to them more them more than I talk to my own friends sometimes, and I’ve never met the people I’ve talked to on Twitter face-to-face.

I think celebs be knowin what they doin when they Tweet stuff, I mean they should know it’s a public and that everybody and they momma will see what you Tweet, twitpic, whatever. I don’t even use Facbeook or myspace anymore because i twitter so much, and Myspace and Facebook got old. especially after I see My old ass middle and highschool teachers having a page. Those two sites there are the ones that have messed up relationships.

The only thing bad about Twitter is those spammin bitches that want you to look at they naked ass pics. Umm I’ll pass on that one.

Twitter hasn’t changed my life. I can say that I get news faster on Twitter than on the television. I’ve seen many stories that I read about on Twitter first and then the news will get it a whole day later. I take the same precautions as I would take on any blog or chat site. You always have to remember that the world is watching. I’m all about freedom of speech, but what you say can write you a check that your butt can’t cash. I choose to remain anonymous. No personal photos or personal details about my life. Suppose I had a rough day at work and I wanted to vent? And suppose my boss happened to have Twitter? I for one use twitter/facebook as a networking tool for business and reconnecting with people I haven’t seen only. I refrain from putting my personal business on these sites.

However…..

From what I know if someone is trying to attack another person personally on twitter or facebook, ect.–then that person is what I call a facebook/twitter hater or wanna be badmouthing (you know what). As said previously, people use these sites as a way to attack others when really if they can’t say it to their faces then they don’t need to say it at all. Also people’s lack of self-esteem (celebrities included) try to draw attention to themselves in order to receive acknowledgment from the world wide web. Also people play into that acknowledgment which in turn leads to gossip. In all these sites are major attention drivers….so is youtube and myspace.

I use it more to connect with people and not to let the world know what i had for lunch or when i take a shit. It is all in how u use it.

i dont use twitter that much cos no1 has it in australia but if u stay true to yourself then you wont have to worry about all that onli fake ppl get caught lieing and talkn shit bout friends or wateva

Twitter has been great for me… I have made new business contacts, and a couple new virtual friends who help me get through long days with their comedy and conversation and I get to clown with some old high school friends in real time. Also t has brought publicity to my online presence so I am happy.

I caught my boyfriend at the time, Omarie Mann, cheating! I dont even have a twitter!!! He and I got into an arguement, and he wanted to break up.. which didnt seem right. Everything was going so well in the relationship. So after we got off the phone, I was devastated and was on the phone with my sister. She suggested that I take a look at his twitter. I’ve never, ever, EVER looked at his twitter, or even been on twitter. I happened to go and look at his, and he was making comments to his “supposedly” ex-girlfriend of 6 years, saying how she took care of him and made him feel better while he was sick. After I went clean off, he and I haven’t talked since…. I still don’t have a twitter, and never will.

I broke up with my ex because of facebook. He was dating me and another chick and added us both as friends and we put 5 and 4 together and realized he was stupid. Lol but its not just twitter. It’s the internet as a whole. I been doing this thing for a long time, back when Blackplanet first came out and the cycle just repeats over and over. You have the same type of personalities on every message board/blog/social networking site. I haven’t ever said anything I regret. I recently completed my first novella but I spoke to my family to let them know what to expect. However, I recently did a video where I called my mom a whore, her mom a whore, and my great grandmom a whore, but that was because truthfully they were and treated each other like whores until I came along and developed whorish ways, so I frankly don’t care how others respond to what I say as long as God knows the situation. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY, it does not always ease the situation but it does make the situation right.

I wrote about a man in my life (no longer in my heart), that wanted God to send him an angel by way of myspace, his lies drew me in. He has a very famous nephew (Usher), the only truth, I believe, he ever told me, but he knows he wronged me with his lies and his MYSPACE PIMP game, he also knows I wrote about him in my new book and he wants me to write his story, however, he doesn’t know I loaded up on your page about him. I won’t use his name because I do respect him that much and I somewhat care about his privacy whether he cares a damn about me or not. Will it devastate me for him to find out what I wrote here, YES! Why? Because I have been telling him for months how I feel and he hasn’t heard me, I think if he sees or even hears of it here he will hear it in the wrong way. But again, what’s real is real, and God I trust will handle the outcome. I never intend to walk over or on someone else’s feelings.

I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with twitter and all forms of social networking sites.

I choose not to follow the man that I’m involved with, or have him as a facebook friend, because it keeps life nice and simple. Weird thing…I met him on Facebook, then followed him to twitter, where we could have a more intimate conversation, because at that point, regular people still weren’t really in the game like that, and EVERYONE is all over facebook. I immediately fell head over heels for twitter, I actually deleted my old friendster account (YES THE THROW BACK), and I painfully want to delete my myspace account, but I’ve been on it since 2003, and it’s like a wack boyfriend, that you just can’t step away from.

Ok, hold on…did I just say that we were able to have a more “intimate” conversation on twitter..WOW people, just WOW, so here goes the hate side of things…..

Twitter, tweeting, facebooking, myspacing, you name it, and it turns us all into HUMAN JUKEBOXES, spilling out anecdotes, and belittling what is sacred about real life experiences. It all has the same effect of a bad reality show, it’s like the death of our culture, but still….I LOVE IT.

My experience with Twitter started out GREAT. I’m an aspiring musician and the networking is priceless on that site. You have (nearly) direct access to your heroes, & people you’ve dreamt of collaborating with!

But as my network grew, so did the ‘haters’.

Speaking from a specific, “industry” point of view, allow me to say, there are people on Twitter who are NOT really talented singers, producers, musicians, songwriters, & label heads.

They ‘follow’ those that are, and steal their steelo: way of speaking (or ‘twittering’), chat up people YOU were just conversing with and throwing shade.

Posers are stealing opportunities/ lying by saying they are affilliated with you & your camp, so as to ‘get in’ with those you work with regularly.

(THIS IS NOOOT NETWORKING! IT IS MANIPULATIVE, AND DESTRUCTIVE!)

I had one so-called peer of mine begin to re-tweet MY posts/words/thoughts/announcements, as tho they were hers.

If my tweets were happy & positive, she’d comment that I was ‘fake, because NO ONE is THAT *&^%$ HAPPY!’. If a fellow musician asked me for advice on our craft, or would post a link to me so I could listen to their music and give feedback, once I replied to them, she’d post messages to them, calling me a ‘fake guru’ & tell them to ask HER…..

If I posted a vent about being frustrated somehow with my music situation, she’d post msgs calling me a ‘negative, self-absorbed B*tch’.

Now, mind you….I barely knew the chick.

Met her in passing at an event. But I do believe her animosity towards me is because I would not GIVE her the contacts/privileges I’ve earned since I got into the business. JD, u KNOW it’s bad protocol to give that info out: phone numbers & emails of the JD’s, Jazze’s, etc, that one may have working relationships with…..

Well, I earned a VERY large number of followers, via word of mouth, and I think, being helpful to my peers….but I’ve deleted it.

It got to be too much, and I got to be too visible.

My MySpace & FB are next…..just reaching out with messages to those I wish to keep in contact with, so they can send me their info….then……POOF.

I’ve learned that sometimes……it’s better to be silent.
