ME X DJ GREG STREET

Hip-Hop Maven Jermaine Dupri and Atlanta’s V-103fm Radio Personality/DJ Greg Street Come Together To Reconcile and End ControversyOnline Video to Debut August 28, 2009Available Exclusively on Global14.com & NecoleBitchie.com

(NEW YORK, NY – August 27, 2009) — Atlantian  hip-hop ambassador Jermaine Dupri (JD) and disc jock Greg Street are set to come together to unite and unify after more than eight months since the two had a difference of opinion surrounding what the role of a disc jockey entails.

While serving in his tenure of president of the music conglomerate, Island Def Jam, Dupri disclosed during an online video interview that a key responsibility of the DJ is to break records by introducing the music to the masses while exposing talent to a specific demographic.  Coming from an executive and an artistic point of view, Dupri felt that if a DJ was not aiding in this process then it is a disservice and mad a general statement saying that DJ’s where dying.  As a result, V-103’s Greg Street took personal offense to the statement and made ill comments towards Jermaine igniting tension between the two Atlanta natives creating an uproar and a sense of discomfit in the urban community in Atlanta.

Traditionally in the urban music community, Atlanta is known for its comorodery between its established artist and rising stars in efforts to elevate the new-comers into super-stardom.  Unforgettable conflicts such as Tupac Shakur and the Notorious BIG illustrated to the world how a disagreement taking a turn for the worst can result in death – of both parties.  Dupri states, “My comments were not directed at Greg Street but was said in general as a statement”.   In efforts to relinquish all hostilities just as Jay-Z did with Nas in 2005, Dupri and Streets will come together after not encountering one another since the incident exclusively on August 28, 2009 via Global14.com and NecoleBitchie.com to reunite in true Atlantian fashion.  JD says, “I’m here trying to protect the integrity of Atlanta” and by the two influencers coming together and setting their differences to the side, this will prove to be an example of how to solve a disagreement with the utmost respect.

The content will be exclusively available to Global14.com as well as NecoleBitchie.com as Atlantians and music fans alike can view the video of the reconciliation.  As twitter serves to be the portable of real-time, fast-breaking news, fans can follow Jermaine Dupri via twitter to know precisely when the video is posted on the Dupri’s social-network, lifestyle site of Global14.com

  1. Its About TIME!!!

  2. Good! I heard this on the radio the other day. Two grown men should be able to work things out or get over it. It was not that big of a deal in the first place–two opinions.

  3. I remember this conflict Jd.. and i understood ur point….i think Greg got a little personal with it when he thru Janet and the Bust it baby remx in it..but thats water under the bridge…i’m glad u all can come together an agree to disagree..Shows ur a grown man and upstanding!

  4. Not to down play anyone’s opinion and I’m not a DJ however, it not only gains popularity for the DJ but it promotes talent in around his area seems like a way to draw people. Back in the day when a DJ promoted something new and hot especially at a party it was on so, I’m just saying it seems right and that’s what I’ve always witness until lately and I’m in OK LAHOMA but, that’s not saying much we rarely are first second or third to hear anything new or up to date. Haha! I’m glad there was some education and understanding on both mens part. Peace is what it’s all about. This is COOOOL!

  5. Regardless the status of a person everyone is in a position to be taught. If we say we know it all then we’re right because all we know is all we’ll ever know. When you think you know everything, there is no desire to learn. JD maybe you learn from this your need to teach and reach out more to young or less experienced DJ’s share a bit of that knowledge as a way to give back. And that could have been your initial intent however it wasn’t received properly, I hope this person doesn’t think he knows everything, anyway I’m not saying you don’t educate others but at least by this I hope you see there is a need.

  6. Thats wassup!

  7. I wish I was there but It’s all good. It’s not really about me its about the music, I hope something positive comes from this and this is real!!

I fucks with Greg because he has always treated me like a person not a nigga trying to get on or just a nigga on a blog. I go to dudes house and normally talk to dude everyday. That’s why I go to the station so much. If dude was not on the radio I would still talk to dude everyday because I am real. It’s not always about being around people that can do something for you, sometimes its about being around people that know the possibilities.

I really don’t know JD like that, he still be on that Hollywood stuff with me BUT from what I have experienced so far he is a cool cat. Cocky as hell but I am too so I am happy to see why these two guys can’t make something happen. They are both determined, and it’s just good business. They just need the plan and mostly importantly THE TEAM!!

  9. thats whats up. i love the positivity u give 2 this industry. u r truly committed 2 ur gift and u realize ur purpose beyond ur gift. thats my definition of an icon- a positive individual that realizes their prupose beyond the gifts that GOD has blessed them with and continue 2 use their gifts 2 help educate, motivate and preserve the humanity and humility of the world around them instead of using their gifts 4 self gain only. and they do it unselfishly. that is u jd. thanks jd. i appreciate u. l4l

  10. Good to hear playbois…Life is too short to keep the bullshit up ya feel me!! ANYWAYZ WHAT IS TH NAME OF THOSE SHADES YOU GOT ON JD!!!!!!!!!!!??????????? I BUY ALOT OF SHIT AFTER SEEING YOU WITH IT AND I NEED THOSE ASAP!!!

  11. THAT’S SOME GROWN MAN SHIT RIGHT THERE…WISH CATS COULD DO THE SAME HERE IN PHILLY!!!

  12. I don’t mean any harm with this statement and I know I say many things that are not grammatically correct however, I hear a growth in the use of “positivity” and according to my dictionary this word does not exist just like the word disencourage, these two words are used quite a bit in the south I know there are others however these are positively easy words that can discourage us in our communication if not used properly because our words are powerful and creative. Peace.

  13. Looking at this picture and breathing hard as hell, magnificant sillouette. Looking so so sporty in the read. With reguards to Greg Street, why whould he assume U were refering to him.
