Samsung’s late to the game of Flip-style (read: simple, cheap, tiny, genius) pocket camcorders, but with its just-announced HMX-U10, the company is making up for lost time. High-def 1080p resolution (vs. the industry standard of 720p) and a 10MP still camera trump most anything on the market at the moment; the other features, like fixed-focus lens, expandable SD storage, and a button for instant uploading to YouTube, are squarely in line with the rest of the pack. And if this is all ye know, this is all ye need to know: The thing’s easy enough to operate that an 8-year-old or an 80-year-old can handle it with aplomb. If, that is, they can pry it out of your hands.

  1. That’s resonalble, bout what other similar styles are going for. i was lookin into one of these just to keep on me, take to the club or whenever…sounds good, but why did it take them so long to get in the game…..makes me say Hmmmmmm…….

  8. At long last, you post some shit I can actually afford! Lol. As a blogger that little cam right there would be more than worth it! I so need a new camera. My Canon feels like it’s name. I need something smaller, sexy to work the red carpets and do interviews with. That said, you ever get tired of one of those HD cams you use to shoot with, just have Tyrone Fedex it to me. Lol! I don’t mind used camera equipment long as its in good condition. And as thanks, I’ll shoot whatever you want if you can’t be in LA to do it yourself.
