Well I didn’t grow up with B Cox but I tell you this when he came up to the radio station the other night, if you didn’t know who he was he wouldn’t stand out at all. The whole objective is to make the money, keep the control, and be unknown. Fame is a headache AND it forces you to spend more money then you would if you was not famous. You always got to show people what you can buy etc etc. Some people try to be the ball player, I’m trying to be the one that owns the team and pays the ball player…That’s just me.
One thing about me is that I keeps it real. I am at the bottom in this industry, I have sold over 150,000 units and have been turned down by every nigga in the city, with that in mind AND with that fact that I work everybody, I don’t have to ass a niggas ass. I call it how I see it. I didn’t see a cocky B Cox the other nigga. I saw a nigga that was humble but at the same time who knew his power. This cat was giving DJ’s a burnt copy of one is his new songs!!! How real is that??? If he was an ass hole I would call him out on it, but he wasn’t…
About the images they are putting out I agree with you. It really doesn’t serve them justice of creating a stronger fan base. I became more of a fan of both JD and B Cox by me talking to them verses the images that I see. I think with JD its a matter of everybody waiting and watching to see if he has fell off or can do it again.. And he is like CHECK ME OUT IM STILL ON TOP…..I don’t know that’s a hard life within itself. When it’s all said and done this is entertainment and I think the whole Leon Phelps thing is just that entertainment.
