Panasonic presents the update to their popular G1 camera, which was the first camera in the Lumix range with exchangeable lenses and overall a big success. The DMC-GH1 comes packed with new features, some of which are very interesting. The camera is now also suitable for video production, as it does not only record in full HD, but also records Dolby Digital sound, which is quite impressive. The camera is now available in stores for about 1500 USD.

  3. Being that you’re rich Why dont you wait and get the new RED handheld camcorder and like a Canon 1DS Mark 3 or a Hasselblad H3D2- 31 for stills?

  4. IM getting on it this week for sure. That Red HD camera is nuttz as well. A must have for all u music video katz and movie Directors for 20k u cant beat it in todays market. where they get u, is with buying all the lenses and arm braces. Which help do crazy angles and sharper images. Haha! Much respect to all yall. Where my Cali lifers at? we poppin bottel’s at Club MOOD in Hollywood this coming Saturday 06.13.09.   7. It does not have a lot though! What if you trying to shoot video in some bad lighting and you need a light? What you gonna do?

  12. I like the camera. I really need to update my equipment but I know that won’t be happening anytime soon. But that one is nice.

  13. JD DONT GET IT, GET THE CAnon 5D MARK II (if you dont already have it) its a full frame sensor camera so its like a real 35mm film camera. People are shooting movies and shorts with this thing that look amazing.

    the Panasonic is for kids. Very small sensor (only a fraction of the size of the 5D sensor). Bad low light abilities. <–Late list.

    You can use your Canon lenses you already have on the 5d ! You wont be dissapointed
