I POSTED SOME HILFIGER PIECES YESTERDAY AND ALOTTA OF THE COMMENTS WERE STILL ABOUT HIM NOT WANTING AFRICAN AMERICANS TO WEAR HIS CLOTHES. I KNOW THIS ISN’T TRUE BUT I THOUGHT I SHOULD SHOW YOU THIS SO WE CAN PUT IT TO BED AND KEEP IT FRESH.

You keep it real with all of these clowns about Tommy Hil, JOe Buddens girl, the rap game etc. but u make no comment about your Lord? Yea i know, “you got a relationship with God” but whats good? I’m still waiting on ur reply to what i said, is it too much of a challenge my dude or is it too true that u dont want to go there.   2. All ya cats praise God when you get ur awards! So what the “H” is the difference with following his commands and his word to the science. Why believe in 2 % of it and not the other 98%. You are successfull for a reason and its not to be the best in the game at what you do. If you thank God for it, then know that he brought you to this platform for a reason and the reason is for his purpose not yours. I follow you guys all the time and, i can’t front, from a fleshly point of view i’m feeling the script. But from a spiritual point of view, which is the only one that matters, all that is meaningless. You have to know what i’m talking about, our flesh likes what the spirit and soul doesnt want for us. but if the spirit and soul isn’t strong (the quote that u posted) then the flesh will have its way all the time.

  3. That’s f-up man I saw tommy hil in NYC a few weeks ago in macys trying hard to sell his stuff. I know he has lost a alot of money behind this rumor. But I’m pretty sure there are other designers that don’t like people buying their stuff like gucci, and louis vuitton. I’m just wait for them to say something slick. Let’s see if people will respond like they with tommy hil.

    Black Americans are beaten down everyday by the same corporate giants they spend money with.Those over thirty feel the mom and pop stores they used to spend money with have been war mongered by the huge congolomerates that wears the same face as Tommy Hilfiger.You cant blame minorities for thinking that a white man would say this about them because behind close doors they say this everyday.
    The moral of this story is that as African Americans we need to check our sources and before we believe a rumor get a confirmation from the horses mouth and not wait another 10 years for someone to come and dispel a urban legend.

  10. I don’t understand why people believe rumors without checking for themselves, especially when there is no credible source and it goes against COMMON SENSE. I didn’t believe that rumor when it started and I was about 14. It didn’t make sense for Hilfiger to say something like that considering the amount of money he was making off of the black community. Now that we have Google hopefully people will fact check more often, though I doubt it because reading dosen’t seem to be fundamental anymore and rumors go in one ear and out the mouth without any thought.

  12. dang he should have squashed this 10years ago, I remember this i was like 10 or 11 and my mom bought me all this Tommy Hill figure ish, and when she heard that she took it all back, everyone I know believed this and didn’t buy his stuff..

    so yeah I know he prob lost some money on this rumor…dang thats crazy messing with people integrity and money…whom ever started that rumor wrong for that.

  13. So what have we learned? We have learned that we will keep being ignored until we control our spending. You can see how hurt Tommy is thinking about the money that he lost. We can’t keep spending every dollar that we get supporting people that are not helping us and are not doing anything for our community. I will never buy Tommy’s clothes. Why buy Tommy when I can buy Sean John? Cotton is cotton and they are all made in the same plants oversees anyway. I don’t know if Tommy can relate to my struggle but I know for a fact the Puffy can. The Hip Hop community most of the time sets the trends in fashion so why not support companies that respect and acknowledge the Hip Hop community outside of when their sales are down.

  19. I ain’t gonna lie…..i don’t rock Tommy and it might be from this rumor, but how do you know that he wasn’t fronting when he was Oprah? I’m not saying he’s a racist or nothing, but when he first started his brand he probably did intend for it to be for just the upper class which is predominantly white anyway.

  33. this is the cost of the fame, exist a lot of people or wear companies with the urgency that trades like Tommy Hilfiger goes to bankcrupt and leave clear the way in order to take his place. IN MY OPPINION I think that if I produce a product like clothes and pants, I need that my product goes to everywhere in order to increase my sales it´s ilogical and against MY COMPANY, think that you can survive just putting your product just to an specific site or merchandise, if you need a famous world trade mark, you can not think like somebody says that Tommy Hilfiger thinks and I don´t believe that this guy thinks that.
