YO SO I HIT UP ALL THE OTHER BLOGS THAT PEOPLE READ ON A DAILY BASIS AND I SAW NO MENTION OF MICHAEL JACKSON SELLIN OUT ALL 50 OF HIS SHOWS IN LONDON IN LIKE A “HOUR”. THIS IS BASICIALLY THE SAME SHIT I WAS TALKIN ABOUT WITH RUN DMC . WHY ISN’T THIS THE TALK OF THE BLOGS?
(A.) IS IT BECAUSE THE BAR IS TO HIGH AND THERE’S NOBODY ELSE OUT THAT CAN DO THAT SO NIGGAS IGNORE REALLY INCREDIBLE SHIT.
(B.) DO WE ONLY REALLY CARE ABOUT ENTERTAINERS GETTIN SHOT, BEAT UP OR GOIN TO JAIL? THERE MUSIC CAREERS DON’T REALLY MATTER? I KNOW GOOD AND GOTDAMN WELL IF THIS WAS HIM SELLING NEVER LAND BECAUSE HE HAD NOMORE MONEY OR HE HAD ANOTHER COURT CASE I WOULD NEVER HERE THE END OF IT.  
(C.) THE YOUNG BLACK COMMUNITY DOESN’T REALLY SUPPORT THE UNDISPUTED, NEVER BEEN MATCHED, MOST RECORD SELLING NIGGA IN THE WORLD PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!! ?????????? SOMEBODY PLS ANSWER THIS FOR ME CAUSE IM LOST LOL

  1. Well in my opinion this isn’t on the news because Michael Jackson is doing his last concerts in Europe… and because is actually a good thing for him.. Right now the media is just excited for bad new someone really important in music is doing well they don’t talk.. that’s absurd but that’s how is done…

On CNN many of the anchors thought he was out of his mind to put on a show during a recession, they said who would show up..it took less that 4 hours for them to get their answer..ur momma sister brother and father! NOBODY has ever done any issh like that…BANNANAS. BIGGUP to MJ!!!!!!!

I will first say I have been out of the loop since last Thursday due to a bad cold so I missed the initial reports of the ticket sells, however, a friend of mine called me earlier today and told me so I did blog about it. I am up on the internet checking all the blogs and JD is right none of the urban blogs have anything to say about it. That’s crazy how things are in the black community because most of these blogs only post negative things about people and it is just sad and very disappointing. Hopefully some of the more positive blogs will begin to get more recognition and it will become the in-thing to promote and support our artist instead of putting them down.

    Now it’s time for me to head over to living the life because I am sure I have missed some things since Thursday. Yes I am a lifer, I loves loves loves the entire Oceans crew, especially Johnta that’s my dude!!!!!

  11. honestly i didn’t kno…lol…that’s the only reason for me. i’m just 17 but i DON’T PLAY bout my old school. i think that’s really gud for him. if he did a US tour i’d be happy, but i wud already kno that not only wud they be gone in 2sec…but my broke ass wudn’t be goin noway..lol. but anyways…Michael has been in the limelight for being so strange these past years that that is all ppl can really look at. and the offenses were great…it was CHILD MOLESTATION…it’s just like Chris n Rihanna…u will NEVER hear the end of it. i personaly think that he needs to be the headline of all news right now, because that is sick. as quick as he did that that should push out all Chris n Rihanna talk cuz i’m personally WAYYY over dat shyt. it’s over n done wit. i wish everybody wud focus on sumthin else cuz they gettin on my DAMN nerves steady talkin bout dat.     As an entertainer I am sure you know that bad news sells and good news gets one line on the last page of the newspaper. Think about your own career for example: I live in Florida and heard on the radio about a shooting at your club however, if i didn’t watch your youtube station or read your blog I wouldn’t know about you and Nelly giving gifts out to kids at Christmas and all the postive charity work you do.

    People put celebrities up on a pedestal and once they reach the untouchable spot its time to take them down and that is what everyone has done to Michael. Thus far I am shocked that people have not suceeded in going after Oprah.

    Anyways its not covered on the blogs because there are bunch of twenty something’s (I am 29 but listen to old skool mostly) running blogs who are not big MJ fans. They have the missing history link like the young guys in hip hop are missing the link to Run DMC. They prefer to talk about half talents who will be on a reality show in 5 years.

  28. This is an interesting. There have been a number of things that have caught my attention as far as black music influence today. I am trying to be an musicologist of black music so I analyze this stuff. MJ is such as powerful figure in music of all genres yet the media pays attention to the negative aspects of a powerful star. I feel that the media only informs negativity about black performers to push future generations away from being as good or better than their predecessors. Showing this baggage will screw up a lil kid’s mind about someone who was so influential. MJ selling out his concert should have been on TV ASAP. That must be a lil too positive huh.

    The same goes with JD’s example of Run DMC. All people know is the negative side but what about the mark they left on hip-hop? I was told at 5 years old where my parents bought Thriller, how long they played his record on the radio, and how HUGE an event it was to have Thriller on the first day of its release. No television show told me that information.

    The world media today steals dreams of young talented black musicians with negativity. Point blank. Something needs to change as far as preserving black music culture of our time so the next generation can appreciate and even surpass those goals.

  30. I haven’t seen this around the web that much but it is all over the news. I think because we don’t really respect the icons of the music industry. If you hadn’t said that Bobby Womack and Run DMC were getting inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame a lot of young people wouldn’t have even known. When Icons do great things it gets ignored because it doesn’t sell or push those google rankings up for their website. On the other hand if its some bad ish people wanna hear about. A shame that it’s like that but it is what it is. I think it’s great what Micheal Jackson did but I wish he would do at least some shows here so I can see him in concert one last time. BTW I’ve Seen Michael Jackson, Run DMC, & Naughty by Nature in concert and they each killed whatever stage they touched!

  31. Man after I found out about the show I went online to to try to buy some tickets. The floor seats were like 5k. I was going to at least get the $500 seats but after I put in that flight and hotel stay I was like forget it. But the media has always been too judgmental of Mike. Nobody can judge that brother unless they have been in the spot light all of their life since 5. The people that are judging him grew up in normal families so how would they know what dude has been through. But Micheal Jackson is the shit.   34. I completely understand what you are saying. People still think that Mike can’t do what he used to but, then again here he is selling out 50 shows in a matter of days let alone an hour. With the positive things going on with him, people will always find something negative to say about him. I love the man to death to be honest, not only for who he is but for his talent and his music, and I am so happy for him he deserves it more than anything, after all the shit he has been though. People don’t want to talk about it because they swallowed their freaking tongues, saying that he will never have a hit record or will never sell any shows because of that happened to him in the past. But best believe when the man puts something out, people are going to get whatever he puts out, or see whatever he is doing (performing) no matter what the critical reception is. Not only does his name make a difference, but he has the most tremendous talent I have ever seen in any human being. People still can’t reach to where he has gone. You don’t even see that many artist who have been in the game for that long, let alone who can sellout 50 shows in a hour. I mean it’s impossible in today’s industry, especially for people who have been around for 50 years. But Michael can still sell out shows like he put of his first album and his first tour. I am very happy and excited for him. People just don’t want to hear anything good happen to him because of the cases that have put against him, and the negativity that surrounds him from that. They focus on the negative aspects of things rather than the positive. I mean who can really sell out 50 show in an hour……no one….. With this said, he broke a few records because of this a few weeks ago.

    I can say this, when he comes to the States I will be the first to show up at his show. I love to see the man dance, sing, let a long perform, it’s amazing. I can’t wait to see how much his album sells. I am pretty sure that people will have something negative to say about that also, but that’s just because they didn’t believe that he could do what he used to, and here he is now doing it. They just hate the fact to admit that they were wrong. People don’t like to see anything positive happen to him, and it’s really sad.

    or use ideas or moves influenced by a favorite artist, but don’t over exaggerate. The person the artist is

    influenced by will be more noticeable than artist’s uniqueness, if they have that knack.

    Being a music artist is not easy and it takes hard work just like every other career field.

  38. I think the thing is that the “new” generation doesn’t care about MJ or the Jackson at all. Partly because it’s been quite a while the jackson 5 hits and thriller/bad (maybe dangerous) came out and people really don’t listen to that kind of music no more which is sad.

I don’t know anyone who said they wouldn’t want to go if they could afford to…I’m going though. My sisters and I have our tickets and we are soooo excited to see the King of Pop in all his glory! WELL..I’ve been a fan of Michael’s since he had his first solo album..Michael is and always will be an icon and he has broken records that will never be challenged at all..I have been to a lot of concerts in my life and Mike and his brothers Victory tour and his solo tours were the best shows i have EVER seen..Mike is a performer that creates magic on that stage and thats why i think ppl today have a hard time giving him his props…a lot of younger ppl dont have entertainers these days that truly PERFORM..they have no knowledge of Mike’s accomplishments ,just his eccentricities. The reason why his shows sold out is because ppl want to see the Master performer again, this type of entertainment is a dying art…most concerts u go to these days they dont have nothing else going on but a backdrop..sometimes no live music…no SHOW! Michael’s music will stand the test of time….he had songs that were about important things..Healing the world and even when they werent they were entertaining and he painted a picture..VIDEOS would not be what it is today without MIke…he broke barriers at MTV so that they would play black entertainers videos..He was the first artist who created long form videos and told a story..Personal issues have nothing to do with his accomplishments..Michael deserves respect and if he comes to the states on tour i will be standing in line for a ticket!!

    i’m a bit late, but it’s a bitter sweet thing that Mike is doing his tours in Europe. On the up side HE’S PERFORMING AGAIN and on the down side he’s doing it in Europe. And for all his fans in America @ this economic crisis, the only place we’re going to be able to see Michael Jackson perform is on YouTube or on DVD. Never the less the experience won’t be the same. I grew up on MJ (i was born in 1990) and I’ve always shunned the negative comments made about him, because just think about what him and his family have done for the music industry.
