And YES, she has talked about LaVelle Smith being her CHOREOGRAPHER. & how LAVELLE USED TO TO DANCE FOR JANET and how he also co-choreographed some of her videos. How he even co-choreographed “Scream” and worked for Michael on several of his tours and in his videos. She WANTS that flare Janet has/had in her videos. And she knows people notice it. I know you all seen the VMA’s when she did “Ring The Alarm”/and “Soldier” on the Destiny’s Child tour – those breakdowns were ALL Michael & Janet! In an interview after the VMA’s that year she even stated that her performance was “a shout out to greatest influences in her career”. Cause I know when I seen her bust out those moves I said to myself, “There goes Janet.”
Beyonce has always and still does state the impact Janet has had on her career. All the dance trophies she has from competitions were from dancing to Janet’s songs LOL.

Ha! Ha! I love that. Janet has influenced so many artist and people in general. When I was in high school way back when we use to do all of Janet’s stuff on our pep team and cheerleading squad, we copied almost every video she did. We use to kill in competitions whenever we did a Janet routine. I remember our pep team did Pleasure Principle and we had to all do a back flip and be in sync. We practiced that one flip for a week just so everyone would land at the exact same time. Wow that’s crazy because the cheerleading squads here still use Janet’s stuff, just like all these artist are still using her stuff and for as long as Ms. Jackson keeps it going people will be using her stuff. I agree 110% with jmoore, she may be often imitated but no one will ever be able to do it like her, she is a true ICON!

There is one black woman I kno very acurately and that’s my pooh. BKA Janet Jackson. We’ve met many times and have even had a small convo a few times.
