Spock what the hell are u talking about..Janet and Teddy Riley would not be a good combination! Ur talking about new and fresh Teddy isnt hardly it….me personally, i think Janet faced some blacklisting after the superbowl incident and some ppl were very unfair to her..including the Fcc..i came to Janet’s signing to show my support in nyc and i had on a shirt that said “Fuck the Fcc” , lol i was fed up with how they were doing Janet..Some ppl just wont drop it..But u know what record sales arent what they used to be for anyone..and Janet does have a consistant fan base..Most of us arent kissing Jd’s tail…we’re giving props where its due..Me for one would like Janet to go back to work with Jimmy and Terry..as far as new producers i say Jazze Pha and Neyo again!

@ Spock. I bought Janet’s last album. Kissing ass is hardly synonymous with giving her props for what Janet has done in the music industry. I will agree with you that it’s definitely time for a “New Agenda”. Time to create a new mold for herself, get back musically to what made her unique to begin with without falling into the topical traps of R&B music. It can’t be simply “an album about love” anymore. Been there, done that. But here’s the problem, when Janet tries something new like the Feedback vid, we don’t like it cause she’s not dancing enough. OR when she gives us what we want based on what’s hot at the time–more dancing, more collabs, more street–critics say she’s too old to be acting like a 20 yr old. But it’s cool for Maddy to do it, why? Janet can’t seem to win with us. However, I never thought Bust It nor the collab with Khia’s unappreciative ass was a good idea. Queens don’t wallow in the gutter.

Though the last couple of albums didn’t sell as well as previous ones, that is not to say there were not songs that were hits on them. There were. Whoever decided on the releases made bad choices. And based on those bad choices, the rest of the album was forgotten about.

Lastly, her albums were once marketed as her journals. With all the stuff that’s happened in the past 5 years she should have a wealth of material to sing and write about. Like Justice told Lucky in Poetic Justice. music needs a voice, a perspective. That’s what I miss in J’s music, her true perspective on what’s REALLY going on in her life and the world in general. But then if she gave us an album like that our unappreciative asses will complain she trying to be India Irie or Mary J. And ironically, radio ain’t keeping them in heavy rotation either.

DAAAAAAAAAAAMN! I mean, anbody who says Janet hasn’t influenced the younger generation is cleary living on another planet! I noticed some of the things that were pointed out but damn, not ALL of them. AND THAT’S JUST PART 1, WTF?! The proof is right there. Job well done to ol’ girl Ericka. (I think that’s her name)

Man JJ don’t get the credit she deserves for these chicks that’s new to the game and copycating her style is crazy. As far as I’m concerned she laid the platform out and Ms, JJ is the ICON and she didn’t have to be fake about that’s what I like about her.

Wow. The Cassie bite off Pleasure Principle video was funny. She looked like she was playing in the mirror. Janet was serious in the mirror, working it out.
