Based on Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias’s 2007 book, the plot follows the true events of the Pendleton rescue mission, involving The Coast Guard’s attempts to save those hit by a storm on oil tankers. The likes of Chris Pine, Casey Affleck and Eric Banag star in the film, set in 1952, and will hit theaters January 29th.
