SUMMER BOX OFFICE

I WENT AND CHECKED OUT THE RISE OF THE FALLEN TODAY AND IT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN TYRONE HAD LEAD ME TO BELIEVE.THIS WAS THE LAST OF THE 5 I WANTED TO SEE. THE PROPOSAL, HANGOVER, STAR TREK AND THE TAKING OF PELHAM 1 2 3. I GOTTA SAY HANGOVER IS MY FAVORITE, I WAS A LIL SKEPTICAL TO SEE STAR TREK BECAUSE MY HEART BELONGS TO STAR WARS AND I NEVER WATCHED IT BUT I MUST SAY IT WAS GOOD AND IT KEPT MY ATTENTION THE WHOLE TIME. THE PROPOSAL WAS NOTHING LIKE I THOUGHT THE TRAILER DEFINITELY HAD ME THINKING IT WAS GONNA GO ANOTHER WAY (HIGHLIGHT) SANDRA BULLOCK HALF NUDE SCENE. IF YOU’VE SEEN ALL 5 WHATS YOUR FAVORITE?

  1. The Hangover…LMPAO

  2. I haven’t seen the Proposal but I doubt it would be the favorite but I’ll go with The Hangover. You sleep on Year One though. That shit not super punchline funny but if you laughed at 40 year old virgin or Knocked Up you gone be on the floor watchin this shit

  3. Hangover is the best!!! The movie was hilarious, with tons of scenes that are memorable; the type you crack joke with your friends about later. I 100% agree about Star Trek, I felt the same as you, I’m a Star Wars guy but the preview seemed tight so I gave it shot. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the movie as much as I did. I knew the proposal was hot garbage, I live in LA. I can tell how good the movie is by how well they promote it locally. That movie didn’t get the love of similar movies as far as PR & street marketing. I thought the action and graphics in Transformers 2 were ridiculous. All in all, Hangover is the one! Everyone I know dug that joint.

  4. THE HANGOVER IS THE SHIT!!!! LMAO

  5. still waitin 2 c pelham, but the others except for The Proposal were good. Like u said the trailer had me fooled also, fig’d d movie would have run a diff course with a similar ending. but it was slow and didnt really come off as funny 2 me plus sandra’s charc was a bit annoying. Transformers was maaaaaaaad doh…above star trek but ST was really well done. The hangover is a must c for anyone, it’s jus craaazzyyy. it sell off

  6. I’ve seen all but The Proposal. I’m goin to see that tomorrow actually. Taking of Pelham – the ending disappointed me a little b/c I felt they built me up so much during the movie for it to end like that. Star Trek was a good one, I was pleased!

My top 2 is The Hangover & Transformers! I can’t pick one over the other b/c they are 2 completely different movies. The HANGOVER I was laughin my ass off the entire time. Transformers was funny & action packed.

I’m actually gonna go see Transformers again but at Imax next time. I’m excited to see it on that screen.

  10. THE HANGOVER!!!

One of the most Hilarious Movies I’ve seen in a while ahahaha

  11. JD,

I give my prayers to Janet and her family.

Yo, what is up with you? Being that you are so close to the family, we need to see an updated video on youtube. I think the tragedy that happened this past week sent shock to the entire world.

We are Lifers and we expect a little more from you. Something like this that happened and the great Jermaine Dupri, who is so close to the family, doesn’t say a word?

You owe us a video update before you go back to blogging on this site. You put a MJ Quote, his baby picture, Jackson 5 cartoon and that’s it!!!!!!! Now you are back posting up some dumb line of clothing, toothbrush?…come on now….

Before we get back to normal and back to our daily lives, you should address your fans on this tragedy!

Peace JD!….Prayers to Janet and the Fam.

  12. JD,

One more thing, you don’t have to do anything you want to do but as people that follow you, you should address this situation.

We are you fans and part of this Global14’s population, you are the Mayor of this joint, as the mayor we expect you to take the leadership role!

That’s all, I’m trying to say…….that Ocean’s ish is hot!!!

  13. THE HANGOVER is the best for me. Its fresh and madnes. That actor whith beard is awesome.

  14. Hello Mr. Jermaine Dupri,

I have not seen any of those. I’m sending you a poem I wrote for Michael Jackson to pass along to Janet if possible for the Jackson Family. I tried to send it to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton but their emails came back as invalid. I have more poems on a site called 4Poets.com and my username is “MsPoetess.” I am also available as a nanny for the children of Michael. Much love to you all.

    Michael Jackson

He was known as the king of pop with ultimate talent
Considered the best performer in the history of entertainment
Unique moves along with his bold style
Whose audiences are from here to the river Nile
The product of a celebrity family
Attacked with vicious rumors & surrounded by a media frenzy
Brokenhearted he was, by the attempts of a character assasination
Still did not change how people felt about him around the world & nation
His music brings us so many memories
He shared with us all of his joys and miseries
Think of “Heal The World” & “Man In The Mirror”
When it came to dance, his moves were like clay & he was the sculptor
We remember the time we heard “I’ll Be There”
A classic piece from a boy who was rare
He was the perfect example of someone who went after his dreams hoping to inspire
Always pushing himself to go higher
His message was usually about love
Children everywhere had to have a shining glove
A very sensitive child he was & man he grew up to be- often misunderstood
Which he claimed was due in part to his childhood
Sacrifices he made for us, his fans
Being in the middle of so many scandals wasn’t a part of his dreams, hopes, or plans
He was a human being, just as you and I
We didn’t expect to lose him like this – there are just some things money can’t buy
A hero and a legend, he will always be
Let us be thankful his spirit has been set free

  15. 1. The Hangover
    2. Transformers
    3. Star Trek
    4. The Taking of Pelham 123

Didnt see the proposal so i can’t really judge it. I think all of these movies were great however the hangover by far was the most enteraining.

  16. the hangover…me and my sister went 2 see it last week and we still talking about it…

  17. I only saw Transformers & Hangover & it’s really hard to say which 1 is better because they were both great for different reasons. Leaning towards Hangover only because it was HILLARIOUS, I couldn’t stop laughing from beggining to end…………but I still love my action movies.

  18. Hangover is hillarious, always a big fan of transformers. Found this funny clip about transformers mac book pro on line

    http://www.2dayblog.com/2009/06/26/transformers-macbook/#more-10533

  19. I have seen all of them except The Hangover. I want to see it, but the movie thing is for my son & I and he’s not ready for tales of Vegas just yet. I liked them all, but my favorite was The Proposal. I actually liked the ending. Ryan Reynolds and Betty White were hilarious and I just love Sandra Bullock anyway!Transformers II was better than the 1st one to me. Taking of Pelham 123, well of course anything with Denzel Washington and John Travolta is never going to be bad. Sidenote, three of the actors from Pelham were also in Transformers II. Star Trek was a welcome surprise because I’m not a trekky and it was the movie I was the least excited to see. I enjoyed it and could see JJ Abrams definitely added some “ALIAS” nuances to the production. Tyler’s cameo was nice as well.

  20. Transformers 2 is undefeated ! perfect movie ! they hit the top of the top fo thisone!
according to me transformers 2 is the better one.

  21. I went this weekend with a friend and i thoroughly enjoyed it as well J. The action sequences were amazing! the script was strong n humorous, and it managed it keep me in my seat for a whole 2 1/2 hrs without noticing or getting up to pee…as well as all the beautiful peeps n the movie, Josh, Ty, Meg, and Shia, yummy! Two thumbs from me! Go Michael Bay!
It’s really kewl to see all the toys and cartoons from our childhood come to life on the big screen. It’s amazing all the innovation and imagination that we have out there today. Real acting with a real script! And all the talent behind the scenes, CGI, editing and sound was phenom!
It really makes me sad to see all those no talent reality t.v. whores gain fame and popularity for doing nothing when we still have such a huge pool of talent out there, dont get me started! All in all great flick! Harry Potter’s next on my list!

  22. O I see Tyrone Jd youe dude couldn’t see if I wanted to check the movie out. How you dude could do a brother like that. Usher man that not right. The last movie I saw was why did i get married

    Ra luv

  23. My prayers go out to Janet and her family.

THE HANGOVER hands down…. when that Asian dude told the dude with the beard (Zach Galifianakis) “Not you fat Jesus”; I laughed for three weeks straight on that one line. And now when people get on my nerves, I tell them – “Not you fat Jesus” and it relieves stress.

    Brad

  24. My 2 cents. I loved Transformers I am going back to see it again, I have always liked Star Trek so I did enjoy that as well, the Hangover was good but it was kind of scattered but still good because it was so funny. Pelham 1 2 3 was good but it was a little different than I thought it would be and I have not seen the proposal so if I had to rate them in order it would be:

    Transformers
    Star Trek
    The Hangover
    Pelham 1 2 3

  25. The Hangover! It’s Mike Tyson, hes still got it!

the only thing that i didn’t get was how doug stayed on the roof for a day and a half!

  26. HANGOVER ALL DAY!!!!

  27. Hangover!!!

  28. Hangover was my favorite!! Oh tht Bradley Cooper…

  29. The Hangover, most def! That Chinesse guy who jumps out of the trunk of the car. That’s my favorite part! LOL – & Bradley Cooper is really nice to look at.

  30. Hangover was the best! Have not seen Transformers yet.
I heard several reactions like J.D.’s. Many
people enjoyed it contrary to others
