Kanye West’s passion for fashion has been well-documented: he interned at Fendi, designed sneakers with Louis Vuitton, enlisted Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci for the cover art of Watch The Throne. According to fashion mag Grazia Daily, Kanye will debut his first women’s wear line at New York Fashion Week this September. We’ve seen him try to launch a clothing line before, running through multiple design partners. The Dark Knight,” the Batman series follows up with, “Dark Knight Rises.” The movie is set to drop July 20, 2012 and will feature Bane as the villain. This is in line with one of Bane’s plans from comic lore, where he released Gotham’s criminals to test Batman. But didn’t we kind of do that in the first film? Watch this vintage TV clip from the mid-90’s of the late great Notorious B.I.G. performing Big Poppa with a live band, back-up singers, Puff Daddy and Lil’ Ceaser on MTV’s The Jon Stewart Show. In 1994-1995 Jon Stewart had a hour long talk show on MTV that competed with Dave Letterman and Jay Leno. But the same team created The Daily Show. This is one of the few and biggest TV looks that Biggie could have gotten at the time and you can hear the influence of the g-funk trend in the cheesy jazzified live band and singers.
