I don’t stop to smell the roses I’m too busy trying to create my own beauty I don’t wonder about the clouds I just let the day play out as it may I don’t see what lies ahead because I’m too busy deciphering the past I’m so busy trying to survive I’ve forgotten how to live. I can’t remember the last time I have laughed or even smiled from pure joy I’m too busy putting on a mask as I try to keep things together. All things fall apart especially when they are held together by tape and they usually crumble right before your eyes. I know I will rise from this stronger like the Phoenix I am rising through fire still in this moment I have to try to dust off the embers as my weary tired feet push on. I will not be broken as life bends my will but I will be humbled as I see my true strength come from within.
