@cbabiiofficial …. I like talking about new tools and resources. No one strategy works for everybody. About the CD Baby thing VS Distrokid. There exists what I call subscriber based pay-for-play business models for nearly everything pertaining to music business distribution. In doing your research for what will best serve your plans I look for the service agreements attached to these providers. You will find that CD Baby has a menu of things that pump up the price to your projects before the launch and I believe the ‘subscription’ fee(s) to stand between you and Ur customer is annual whether you sell or not. I chose Distrokid to do an initial launch of multiple works and get into the pipelines of new age online distribution. Marketing is the beast to handle for sales of goods and services ie. (Recorded music and concert tickets) Read up on these groups of internet companies who posture with the ‘pay-for-play’ subscriber base business models. As independents now we have more options than we used too. Lots of you tube lectures about the differences. Distrokid is unlimited uploads around 20 bucks a year. here’s a link: https://distrokid.com/vip/seven/649784 Think out side the boxes. You are a business and you need your brand to reach its potential markets. The old vinyl markets kept most independents out. Effort is on to keep those controls on us as producers and writers. Keep ur freedom I say while gaining ur reach. know and believe in your value. ijs
