When I first came to Global I didn’t even know who Johnta was, I am not happy to say that the brother does have a pen. I like this song better then her first single I only have one question…. Why does Whitney seem to be staying in a vocal comfort zone. Most people are trying to see if Whitney still has it but you really can’t tell by none of her new material. I wish I could hear a song by Whitney that has a crazy break with her showing her range and the reason why she is considered one of the greats….

Sorry but Sinatra you should have kept this for yourself. I have heard your version and it is way better. This song is from a male’s pov. This track fits you far better than her. Song is still heat. JD I would say put up the Johnta version but since it is Whitney’s single that wont fly. Yo hunt around the internet and find Johnta’s version (sounds exactly the same but with him). Then you will see why Whitney stayed in that zone. She was just copying the best version. What more can you do

Whitney can’t sing anymore. Her voice is obviously broken beyond repair, it sounds dry and hoarse, her new cd sounds bland.
i like johnta’s version way better…same with “i look to you”…i watched a youtube vid r.kelly performing it and it was much better than whitney singing it. i don’t hear any emotions of whitney…

Johnta has a timeless stlye of writing that maybe two or three other major writers have. He truley has a R. Kelly range of writing. He can go from a classic and formal style of R&B to the edgey hip- hop style.

I heard this song a LONG time ago on Johnta’s “Turn It Up Mixtape” and I must say that I LOVE his version better. His voice just suits it better, and plus the lyrics about the best writer in town referred to him. This one just doesn’t make me as happy as yours did. You should have kept it for yourself. But if it gets more exposure, you get paid all the same, so either way, congrats!
People are SLEEPING on Johnta. His album should have BEEN dropped, with a second or third one coming out. But the dumb music industry keeps giving people like him the pass and taking dumb artists like Soulja Boy ( don’t get me started).
