Billboard magazine says the boy band led by Justin Timberlake had the decade’s best-selling album with “No Strings Attached,” which sold more than 10 million copies.The most popular song of the decade was Mariah Carey’s ballad “We Belong Together.”Eminem was named the top artist of the decade, while Nickelback was named top group.For 2009, Taylor Swift had the best-selling album with “Fearless,” while the Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” was top song.Billboard released those chart-toppers plus others for the decade and 2009 on its Web site on Friday.

  8. YOU SEE J.D. EVEN BALLADS CAN DO WELL. NOT JUST FUCKING CLUB TRACKS. GOOD MUSIC HITS OUR SOULS. MUSIC IS ALL ABOUT MAKING PEOPLE HAPPY NOT MISERABLE. WITH SOME OF TODAY’S MUSIC, I’M VERY MISERABLE JUST LISTENING TO IT. I WANT GOOD MUSIC BACK. KEEP MAKING THEM SLOW BALLADS AND SLOW TEMPO TRACKS FOR MARIAH THAT HAVE MEANING TO IT. THE REASON WHY “WE BELONG TOGETHER” DID SO WELL IS BECAUSE THE SONG IS REAL, IT CAME FROM MARIAH’S HEART, IT’S WHAT MARIAH IS FEELING AT THAT TIME WHEN SHE WAS DEPRESS OVER TOMMY, HER EX HUSBAND. I THINK SHE REALLY REGRETS WHAT SHE DID TO TOMMY AND SO ON. THAT SONG IS REAL. I FELT HER PAIN ON HER “WE BELONG TOGETHER” VIDEO.

    BUT FOR SOME REASON, THIS YEAR MARIAH ISN’T WHAT SHE IS NO MORE. IT’S LIKE PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY ARE FORCING HER TO BE SOMETHING SHE’S NOT IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN HER POPULARITY. I DON’T LIKE MARIAH BASHING OTHER CELEBRITIES LIKE THAT, THAT’S JUST NOT HER CHARACTER. SOME FANS ARE TURN OFF BY THAT SONG. SO LEAVE MARIAH ALONG. LET HER DO WHAT SHE’S GOOD AT, AND THAT IS SLOW MUSIC.

    AS IT GOES FOR TAYLOR SWIFT, THAT ALBUM IS REAL AS WELL. ALL THEM SONGS CONNECT WITH EVERYONE’S HEARTS. YOU GOT TO THINK OF HOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE FEELINGS TOO. PEOPLE JUST AIN’T ALWAYS GOING TO TURN ON TO RAP CRAP AND WHACK R&B 24/7…

    EVERYONE ELSE WHO’S NOMINATED ARE REAL WITH WHO THEY ARE WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR MUSIC.
