Vogue Italia Puts Thick Models On Cover

HOW DO YALL FELL ABOUT THIS ? TO ME THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF MODELS BEING CALLED SUPER MODELS,THEIR SIZE IS WHAT MAKES THEM WHAT THEY ARE,DONT GET ME WRONG, I LOVE THICK PRETTY GIRLS, BUT THIS DONT FEEL RIGHT

Vogue Italia editor, Franca Sozzani, sure knows how to stir the pot.
*Thick as defined by Urbandictionary: a word used to describe a female who may be defined by health charts as “overweight,” but still attracts mad guys because the weight is in the right places (hips, buttocks, and breasts).

  1. I’M GONNA NEED YOU TO EXPLAIN WHAT DON’T FEEL RIGHT @J.D. I COULD UNDERSTAND IF THEY WERE OBESE BUT THEY LOOK WELL PROPORTIONED AND VERY BEAUTIFUL .I THOUGHT BEAUTY WAS WHAT MADE YOU A SUPER MODEL NOT WEIGHT.I GUESS I WAS WRONG.YOU LIKE THICK GIRLS YOU JUST DON’T WANT TO SEE THEM ON THE COVER OF A MAGAZINE WHAT TYPE OF SHIT IS THAT.SMDH.

  2. @ JD i think the cover is hot i understand what u mean by supermodel! the history of super models of the WOrld have always been based on looks and the size! Now i dont think to be a supermodels means u have to be a size 0 but fashion designers make their clothes for a particular size! does that make it right or wrong no! everything is based on a indivudal preferences! Back in the 90s i think that is when Supermodels were at their peak! I think the women on this Itlian Vogue are beatuiful now if they had put a sister in the mix it would have been either better! AS the song goes beauty on skin deep! MAgazine are all about sales, and advertisments..IF the general public is receptive then the magazine will so more if the public is not then they will go back to the same o same o in my opinion

  3. Nah I gotta disagree on this one……..This cover is HOT and I think it’s a good look to have some Thick women on there. While I can see where you’re coming from, I think they went for Curvy and Voluptuous women and not just Plus Sized women. So it’s still done very tastefully and classy. So I’m diggin it! Two Thumbs Up from Me…….And I’d buy the Mag, hoping there were more pix in there like that…….

  4. HEY its healthy looking models!! its about time. really skinny models are ugly and pointless. Maybe its just me but i found most of the models doing the opposite and making the clothing look bad. If i was a girl i dont wanna see a girl who looks like shes on heroin and coke to model clothing i might want to purchase and as a business id never have ppl like that modeling my products.

when im looking at clothing to buy i dont wanna see NSync and Clay Akin rockin it cos im not fucking buying it lol

Maybe im crazy idk but thats how I see it

  5. For a 4 ft poser who still somehow managed to hang onto their baby teeth into adulthood, you are ignorantly hung up on what constitutes beauty. One of your two greatest weaknesses is your inability to mask your ignorance, while the other being a sort of napoleonic d*ck riding, trend jumper, out of the loop neverwill, who tries way too hard for some kind of “cool” acceptance.
If you were for once, ahead of a trend, you would see that the world is craving for models who achieve a more “achievable” beauty. The fact that you still subscribe to this archaic notion of “heroine chic”being the only standard for super model status, truly shows your ignorance. Being a super model isn’t a weight issue. it’s a swagger issue. But it’s easy to see why something like that would be lost on you.

    You have always been “swaggerless”

No one ever wanted to emulate you.

You were rarely, if ever, mentioned when people spoke of super producers even though you had the hits because you don’t leave an fimpression that others want to follow.

Sure, people want your money and connects.
But no one ever wanted to look or sound like JD.

You’ve always bandwagoned onto an existing sound or look. You’ve never saw the trend before it became the trend, but instead stood in the rafters to shout out the obvious.
Maybe you might have to wait until Pharrell or Swizz exclaim the new “Super” is thick before you see the light.
But right now… you need to catch up.

  6. @ jd I’m quite surprised @ ur remark. Especially from a man who dates thick women. This day n age is so hung up on image its about time thick is seen as beauty. Young girls growing up now can see themselves doing many things instead of having to starve themselves or get major work done. So I give 2 thumbs up 2 vogue for stepping it up n really diversifying fashion

  7. Slogan for Specfabulous Creations; Size will never define beauty…. There are some many variations of what one defines as beautiful, and that’s why beauty forever remains in the eyes of those who behold it. @ JD, Way back when, it was those that were thick that wore the crown as societies image of beauty, with time it has changed… And todays image in our society/media considers the petite, skill vixens as a Supermodels….

  8. (late as hell but this is always a timely topic) But they are carrying it well. “cute thick”. i think they look great and very fashionable. time out for the “sticks”
