UBUNTU EDGE

Linux OS developer, Ubuntu, announced the development of their first smartphone, the Ubuntu Edge. The company has begun raising money via indiegogo to help fund their ambitious project in hopes to create a superphone of sorts that won’t only be your smartphone, but have the capability to dock and become a full fledged desktop PC. To achieve this they’re going to spec out their phone with a 4.5″ sapphire-crystal display, a multi-core processor, 4GBs of RAM, 128GBs of storage, and a dual-LTE chip for cellular connectivity no matter where you are on the globe. They’re also giving it Android compatibility with a dual-booting system that’ll give you the full Android OS experience. $830, Ubuntu
