The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” Retro Release

The retro release of the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” marks the return of a sneaker that would have no Nike branding on it whatsoever when it was delivered – with chief Jumpman brand architect Tinker Hatfield insisting that Michael Jordan’s own logo could carry the success of the shoe without the Swoosh.

Additionally, the black/black/true red colorway was part of an official tradition/rule for the Bulls where players were only allowed to wear black shoes during the playoffs. True Jumpman enthusiasts can thank their winning traditions for the various dark colorways we’d come to enjoy over the years. Look for this latest retro via Jordan Brand accounts on June 29, priced at $160 USD.
