The Vans Watermelon Pack enjoys a reissue, in the run up to the sunnier months. Juicy exotic fruits are enjoyed best during hot weather, so why not? Originally released in 2009, this capsule consists of a Vans Era and Slip-On sneaker, and are made out of a red with black dots upper that sits on a white and green sole. It’s quite representative of the fruit that we’re all partial to. They’re out for a limited time only and are available from the Vans store at Orchard Central Level 1.

From the Spring 2012 Vans Vault Collection we present the new Sk8 Hi Zip. Featuring a mix of suede and premium leather on the upper, the high top sneaker comes in overall three colorways. The thin leather laces are a nice detail and we especially like the overall vintage look and feel of the range. The zipper going across the heel is both practical and another detail differentiating the sneaker from its classic counterpart.

In an interesting new collaboration, Vans has teamed up with NVy by F.A.T. and with retailer Beauty & Youth on their iconic Slip-on low top sneaker. The sneaker comes in a really nice dark navy canvas version with contrasting stitching, small logo embroidery on the upper and collaborative logo placements on the in-sole. Look out for a release in the coming weeks.

From their Spring 2012 Cans Classics Collection we present the Canvas & Leather Pack. Consisting of the Era and the Zapato del Barco, both sneakers come in each three colorways, featuring a combination of canvas and leather accents on the upper. We like the contrasting styles, grey/brown and navy/brown, the best.

Vans presents the new 10 oz. Canvas Authentic Pack, in which their classic low top sneaker comes in three colorways, featuring especially heavy canvas uppers. Only the hiking boot laces add some more flavor to the otherwise very clean sneaker, which is now available from Atlas.

For Holiday 2011 Japanese retailer Beauty & Youth by United Arrows gets another time together with Vans and as usual they keep things clean and classic. They chose to work on the Authentic low top sneaker and gave it an all corduroy upper. Coming in three colorways, the ‘Cord’ Pack will release November 2011.

ans OTW and Mr. Cartoon proudly present the Art of Lettering, a limited edition book featuring Cartoon’s personal photography, published by Eric Elms/And Press. The first in a series of forthcoming projects from Vans OTW advocates including Cartoon, Elms, Dimitri Coste and The Blackouts, the book was created in conjunction with Mr. Cartoons “Art of Lettering” seminar held in Los Angeles this summer. The seminar featured Cartoon discussing how lettering has impacted his life – from graffiti art to vintage sign painting and modern day low rider script as well as illustration airbrushing and his concepts of tattooing. The limited run of 818 books are available at select OTWretailers worldwide.
