    I don’t know…that SP1200 sounds good!! Reason can’t sound like that…..

  4. yeah i remember this was on them neon green cassette tapes.. lol

  5. Still a hot song- But JD why do you look older waaay back then than how you look now. Good job loosing the cornrows LOL

  6. This is classic!! This takes me back to Junior High School!! My friends and I used to sing this song everyday on the school bus going and coming from school!! Those were the days!!!

  7. O Shit!!! I forgot about this song

  8. This is a def classic!! Everytime I hear this song, it brings me back to a specific summer. My girls and I LOVE it! Thanks for this one, JD!

  10. THIS SONG WAS HOT WHEN IT CAME OUT. NOW THEY STILL PLAYING THIS SONG ON THE RADIO, DON’T YOU KNOW THAT? THAT’S HOW MUCH PEOPLE DIDN’T FORGET THIS SONG. THIS SONG IS A SONG YOU CAN THROW PARTIES TO.

  11. MY GRANDMA LOVE THIS SONG, I CAN’T BELIEVE SHE STILL REMEMBER THE LYRICS. LOL! SONGS LIKE THIS WAS FOR EVERYBODY, ALL AGES TOO. NOW DAYS, MUSIC IS ONLY FOR THE STUPIDASS TEENS THAT DON’T HAVE ANY COMMON SENCE OR COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NOTHING! SHIT! LOL!

  16. Haven’t seen this in a minute!

  17. Yea, I remember this senior year of high school. We finally had a band and they played this and it was one of the few times we were allowed to be hype at school. Still loving the song.

  18. another so so def classic tuesday…. keep them oldies coming,,,,,,,,

  19. NIGGA……..this was my MF’ing SONG!!!!! I have this on my iPod right now. JD, Did you produce this?

  20. wow! this song brings back memories!! love it!

  21. One of my all time favorites which I still play in my Dj sets. This song brings back a lot of good memories. I still have the vinyl single of this with all of the different versions.

  22. @Shadowstare/ Of course JD produced and composed this track. It obvious because he only post vids up to give a reminder to all his fans that he produce this track, and he sign this artist who was on So So Def in the past. But anyways, did ya notice that Anothony Hamilton is on the vid dancing with them two girls? Also Chris Reid a.k.a. Kid from Kid & Play is on the vid too. I think he was going thread lock during the mid 90’s at the time.

  23. This song never leaves my ipod…. LOVE IT!

  24. i remember this

  25. Classic!!!!

  26. I love this its on my ipod and when I’m in the gym this song gets me going

  27. this my first time hearing this song and i like it alot.

  28. @ Nakita Benjamin

Yall are funny, I guess yall are fans of JD so you think because it’s a hit he produced it huh? Well he didn’t. It was produced by a guy named Rodney Terry with his SP1200. Do a search for Rodney Terry this guy’s father use to manage The Jackson Five back in the day. It was sung by a girl name Virgo who you never saw in the video and it was on the So So Def Bass Album which was A&R’ed by LIl John and Eddie Weathers… Virgo was not suppose to even be on the song but was only demoing it for another artist.

So JD is the EXECUTIVE Producer but NOT the producer (the guy that made the beat and produced the record)….. Do your research people!!

  29. i remember this song even though i was a shorty lol

  30. I never did like this song.
The beat got on my nerves and still does.
I love JD, when I think about it, He’s more hits than Diddy, Timbaland, and Dr. Dre.
I think so. WOW, but that’s pne song I wasn’t too excited about.

  31. omg i still luv this song! damn i was like 9 or 10 when this came out! my aunt use to run this song so hard when i would go downsouth…….s*#t she STILL DO!! LOL

  32. Dang I 4 got about this song! I was sittin up here singing every lyric as if I have heard it everyday since it came out. I didn’t know it was a video to this, this came out when my Mom wasn’t keen about me watching videos yet, but I for sure still knew all the music….

  33. dis was errbody shit!
    THIS WAS SO SO ATL!

  34. @Nakita Benjamin Thanks for the info, I thought JD just put up videos that were old school and fire. I hadn’t connected the dots of old school, fire and ones JD produced. (All remembered was that the girl in that yellow towel was fine than a MuthaF***ker) I might have a new respect for JD now. I would love for JD to sit down for a few eps of LTL and talk about the 90’s hip hop scene in ATL. I remember having the impression that ATL was the place to be back then. I would love to hear how it was from JD’s perspective, because he was there for ALL of it. Freaknik, The Olympics, the sound, Deion Sanders, etc.

  35. This was my jam!! Remember the neon orange and green cd case for vol 1 and 2! I loved this song.

  36. @SPOCK/ WHO’S RODNEY TERRY?? I NEVER HEARD OF HIM BEFORE. IF HE PRODUCE THIS TRACK, THAN WHY ISN’T HE THE MOST HOTTEST PRODUCER AROUND THE 90’S? LOL! IF JERMAINE DUPRI DIDN’T PRODUCE IT, IT DON’T MATTER BECAUSE J.D. IS STILL THE BEST PRODUCER WHO COMPOSE AND WROTE MUSIC FOR MOST OF HIS SO SO DEF ARTIST AT THE TIME, AND ARTIST THAT HE WORK WITH AT THE TIME. BUT YEAH I SHOULD START DOING RESEARCH, I MIGHT SOMETIMES FORGET SHIT, BUT I NEVER WILL FORGET THE 90’S YOU FEEL ME. I HAVE TONES OF ALBUMS AND CASSETTES FROM THE 90’S WHERE IT TELLS YOU WHO COMPOSE THIS, WHO PRODUCE THAT, WHO WROTE THIS, AND WHAT ARTIST GOT ON WHAT SONG. EVEN ON TV, I REMEMBER THE INVIEWS THAT THE ARTIST HAD BECAUSE BACK THAN, IT WAS EXCITING TO ME, CAUSE I WANNA BE IN THEIR SHOES. I’M A STRANGE KID MAN, ALL I CARED ABOUT WAS MUSIC 24/7. LOL!

GHOST TOWN WAS ON SO SO DEF LABEL DURING THE MID 90’S ANYWAYS. THAT’S WHY I SAID JERMAINE WANTS US TO REMINANCE ON ALL HIS WORK THAT HE DONE AND THE ARTIST THAT HE ONCE HAD ON HIS LABEL.

  37. yeesssss I still bump this joint

  38. classic!!!!!!!!!!

  39. oh wow………i almost 4got about this cut rite here……now i may seem old school but i remember this video gettin major plays on The Box. now if i can remember The Box then i must b old…..lol.

  40. Hi! Can anyone of you tell me this 90s song that sounds like Next’s Too Close. I can’t get it out of my mind because I can’t remember who sang it, or what the title of the song is. 🙂 Thank you!!!
