This week we have received a new Snapchat update that highlights two features. The most notable retool is that the platform will now let you replay direct snaps for the price of $0.99 USD. Previously, when a person sent you a direct message, you could only view that entry once and then it disappeared. Now, all you have to do is shell out a buck, and you can re-peep three Snaps, albeit one each extra time. This of course is just another revenue stream for the social media platform, in addition to the Discover feature and advertisements.
The second addition for the update is the new Lenses feature for selfies. You can in turn line up your head on various graphics and thus select different lenses. Some of these options will also be interactive, highlighting facial movements and more.
According to Snapchat, other “surprises” are on the way, but go ahead and take advantage of that update today.
