It’s too bad that he’s been off the radar this long but, he’s made it clear with this verse that he’s still on top of his game!!!!!!!!

Dude is dope, but I think someone needs to address the fact that these new kids (25 and under) really don’t know the history of Rap nor do they know the legends. I put on KRS-One’s “MY Philosophy” and they had never heard the record but yet this artist considered himself to be a lyricist… I am like how?

For cats like myself that is over 30 this represents a lot of opportunity because if you bring back old samples these new kids won’t even know where it came from. Who is really studying Hip Hop and it’s history? Guys like Slick Rick paved the way…

    PS…
I never thought it would happen, but a young artist came to my studio asking to sing over “Dondria’s” song… I was like wow… I know the song is up to about 1000 spins a week but I don’t listen to the radio anymore so I don’t know what they are playing… She said it was her favorite song. I said on global that I didn’t think that song was a strong enough song to come out with first….. JD and team are proving me wrong…… (When she asked to sing that song, I acted like I never heard of the artist) Somebody is working!!

    @ Spock

It takes a big person to come on here and admit that, I respect that. I understand where you were coming from and I also understand and respect the vision they had for the Dondria record. The song and Dondria vocals are crazy, crazy enough that a new artist can break it and shine. Good job peoples.
