I just don’t understand the violence in today’s society, if they had already stolen his money what was the sense in killing him after the fact. This is really what our world has come down to sadly.

First off R.I.P Vernon Forrest Great Boxer even better as a person. But I gotta say this I love the south but i noticed a different type of hate there like i will kill you cause i hate you type shit. I feel you on this Sean Psalms. Hopefully we as humanity, not just Black people will begin to value human life over trivial things. When I was in Europe it was truly a breath of fresh air because the people I encountered were full of the joy of life. It was not about status and material possessions. It made me look at the value I placed on certain material things and I realized that the most important things in life are Family, happiness, and a confidence in who you are internally, not what material wealth adds. The haters as you call them are that because of the value they place on things that don’t matter. Cars, jewelry, the attention of a woman, etc. I appreciate the looking out. I promise that we all take precautions to ensure our safety. But the precautions shouldn’t stop with us. These incidents are things that could happen to anyone so having said that, you and all of the other Lifers should take care of yourselves and your surroundings as well. My prayers and well wishes are with you all!!!

atl is gettin crazy. my friends and i were carjacked there last year and we were in an old camry. these young, wannabe gangstas, walked up 2 us on the porch of the home we were entering and told us ‘welcome 2 atlanta’ then took everything out of our pockets, jumped in our car an drove off. i chased them as well but my friends stopped me from catching them due 2 the fact that i didnt have a gun. the next week our car was found torched. of course no one has been arrested in our case. there is no respect 4 humanity anymore. what happened 2 working hard 4 what u want then being able 2 enjoy the fruits of ur labor without worrying about the next punk taking your shit from u at gun point? damn life just aint the same as it was 20 years ago. much love 2 the famlily and friends of the slain boxer and all the other victums of senseless crime.

This hurt me. I was good friends with Vernon, as a matter of fact we talked for an hour on the last day of his life!! This is crazy. Dude would call me just to check up on me. We are both from Augusta. I am still hurt over this. The last conversation that we had was about the music business and which direction it is going….That God for that conversation…..
RIP Brother…. I will be at the funeral….We were members of the same church in Augusta… This dude was class A!
