In 1993 NIGO opened the doors of his first retail store, Nowhere, in the back streets of Harajuku and started Bape along the way. On 1st of April 2013, the brand and store celebrate their 20th anniversary. As you can imagine the brand, known for its high profile collaborations, has cooked up some special product for the occasion.
Today Bape announces collaborations with 20 International artists that are close to the brand. The line-up includes Jun Takahashi, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Futura, POGGY, NIGO, Shinsuke Takizawa, Masamichi Katayama and many more. Each one of them had to design a special APE Head canvas and a t-shirt. The artwork will be unveiled on April 27, 2013, and along the way Bape will also be launching its 20th anniversary products.
