Raise a grass! New York is the nation’s most vegan-friendly city, an animal rights group said Tuesday.

To celebrate Gotham’s supposed transformation from a strip steak town to a vegetarian paradise, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals will unveil a replica of the city skyline carved out of vegetables Wednesday at City Hall.

“New York boasts more than 140 vegetarian restaurants, countless veggie-friendly establishments, and the first vegetarian public school,” said City Councilman Corey Johnson (D-Upper West Side), who will receive the edible edifices from actor Alan Cumming, himself a vegan.
