There’s a second week at No. 1 on Billboard’s European Top 100 Albums for “The Collection” (Sony Music Entertainment) by Michael Jackson, who continues to have three of the chart’s top four titles. Pitbull’s “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” (Ultra/B1) leads European Hot 100 Singles for a fourth week.

Jackson also holds at No. 2 on the pan-European survey with “King of Pop” and No. 4 with “The Essential,” falling 7-9 with “Number Ones.” But “The Collection” remains Europe’s favorite among his compilations, holding at No. 1 in Spain, Denmark and the Belgian region of Wallony, climbing 4-2 in Germany and holding at No. 2 in Italy.

“King of Pop” is still on top in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, but down 1-2 in Holland, while “The Essential” is the U.K.’s best-selling artist album for a sixth straight week (the artist’s best-ever unbroken run there) with sales last week of 34,000. It’s also steady at No. 3 in Switzerland and No. 6 in Portugal. “Number Ones” has its best ranking in Germany, where it’s down 3-4.

The world we live in is funny. In the past two months I’ve heard more people talking about how amazing he was. These are the same people who would trash him. It’s sad that it took him to die before people realized what I know all along. He was an extraordinary entertainer and there will never be another like him.
