As you all know, I go by the name Shortay. My real name is Samantha Brown. I was raised in Perrine, Florida. I was born at Jackson Memorial Hospital. God sent me to my mother on July 5, the day after independence . I am a shy person but I can be very out spoken at times. I love to sing! I enjoy singing around the house. I am a really goofy person so I mostly laugh at everything. For some reason I don’t smile. The only time you’ll see me smiling is if im laughing. I love to have fun. I think that’s whats important in everyone life. Having fun and staying out of trouble. I feel that having drama in your life is not necessary. This is my last year in high school. After I graduate, I plan on going to college to be a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Specialist. I always seen myself singing on stage. Not for the money. Singing is a gift that I was blessed with. I could be anywhere and I would just start singing out of nowhere. I cant help it!! I write my own songs. To sum it all up, I enjoy singing. Its like expressing how I feel and letting my fans know that their not alone in this world. I’m Shortay and i’m telling you, we’re all human. Everyone has their up and downs in life. Its up to you to decide whether you want to give up on your dream after putting in all that work. Here’s my advice to you…..don’t quit. Its just the beginning. I did it!
