Michael was in debt before his passing and he knew if he was gone his sales would skyrocket. That is why his siblings have been at each others throats and trying to gain control of his assets. It’s only common sense after all he’s still the King of Pop. It makes me sad that he gave his life to entertain the masses and no one seemed to truly care to look out for him and that his portfolio was as significant as it is now, before his passing. Yet this is the real world and it is truly flawed. RIP Mj and I know your pain has passed.

14-Year-Old Girl Shot And Killed While Riding The Bus In Queens
A 14-year-old girl was tragically and senselessly murdered on Saturday in Queens, after an unidentified shooter emptied 10 shots at an idling Q6 bus.
Daja Robinson was simply sitting in her seat when her bus was barraged by bullets, one bursting through a window and hitting her in the head. Robinson was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, but it was simply too late.
The bus was cordoned off by NYPD and investigated for ballistic evidence, as it remained on the corner throughout the night.
Witnesses say they saw a group of teens following Robinson before she got on the bus, right before shots were fired at the bus. Jamaica resident Jamaal Jefferson knew the teen girl, telling the NY Daily News, ”She was sweet. She was young…she was going to school, living her life. It’s just a tragedy.”
Neighborhood resident Christopher McIlwain had maybe the most appropriate response to the tragedy out of anyone. He told reporters, ”It’s outrageous. First of all, it was a young girl. Secondly, it was useless. A life wasted for what?”

I have no plan B. Plan A all the way. I had an extra credit assignment I could do for school and I’m not going to do it. Why? Because the assignment was to plan my future after school and I couldn’t pick a rock star, athlete, singer, artist or etc. The teacher said we had to pick something realistic. smh I’m going to make this a career!

I know I was like how can you tell us not to DREAM and not to act on our dreams. I thought it was cray cray. Even crazier it was coming from my home school. So some of the other kids in home school is just like me. Chasing dreams and acting on them like becoming an artist, actress, or actor. It makes no sense.

Yahoo Back on to List of Top 100 Brands at No. 92, Though Apple Remains No. 1
Yahoo, which had dropped off the important BrandZ Top 100 ranking several years ago, scratched its way on again this year at No. 92.
The Silicon Valley Internet giant had last been on the key list of brands in 2009, when it had a brand value of $7.9 billion. It now has a brand value of $9.8 billion, which is still down from its $11.4 billion in 2008.
And that’s tiny in comparison to Apple, which remains No. 1 on the list with a brand value of $185.1 billion. Google ranked as No. 2 with a brand value of $113.7 billion.
Apple rival Samsung’s brand value rose by by 51 percent to $21.4 billion, clocking in to the No. 30 spot.
In tech, Amazon’s brand value was $45.7 billion, rising 34 percent to No. 14. IBM is No. 3 with a brand value of $112 billion.
And more: Microsoft (No. 7, $69.8 billion, down nine percent); Facebook (No. 31, $21.3 billion, down 36 percent); and eBay (No. 47, $17.7 billion, up 40 percent).
The eight-year-old BrandZ list, which is much watched by marketers, is commissioned by WPP and conducted by Millward Brown Optimor.

David Karp, the 26-year-old who has just sold his fantastically popular blogging site Tumblr to Yahoo! for a $1.1billion cash deal, made the announcement today and signed off with a resounding ’F*** yeah’.
Karp, a high school drop-out who started the site from his mother’s New York apartment in 2007, posted a message on Tumblr’s staff blog on Monday.
He told users that he was ’elated’ to be joining Yahoo! and echoed the words of the company’s CEO Marissa Mayer by saying: ’We won’t let you down.’

The casual ’F*** yeah’, a somewhat brash sign-off to a billion-dollar deal, is reminiscent of another tech tycoon’s attitude to the world of multinational corporations.
Mark Zuckerberg once touted Facebook business cards with the words ’I’m CEO, B****’ emblazoned on the front.
Karp’s announcement came after Yahoo!’s board of directors agreed on Sunday to buy the wildly popular blogging platform Tumblr, which boasts 100million users and 90million posts per day, for $1.1billion cash.
The deal makes the native New Yorker the latest 20-something tech tycoon, even though he was publicly opposed even last year, to selling the company which he founded in his mother’s small Manhattan apartment in 2007.
However, Karp – a high school dropout who taught himself how to code – had expressed grave reservations about giving up his brainchild to a Silicon Valley tech giant.
In a 2012 interview with the Guardian, he said he had been swatting away buy-out requests for years.
’Particularly in the first three years, there were a lot of (mergers and acquisitions) people who would pull you aside and you’d think ”Well, s***, I could be a pretty rich 23-year-old with very little effort,”’ he said.
’We stuck it out. I won’t say I really knew why.’

It is unclear how large a stake in the company Karp maintained before the Yahoo deal.
In 2008, he sold a 25 per cent stake to investors for $750,000.
The investor share of the company was $125million at the time of the deal, according to AllThingsD.
Karp grew up on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the son of a music composer father who wrote songs for films and TV shows and a mother who was a teacher.
He taught himself how to code HTML at age 11 and began setting up his own consulting business shortly thereafter. His parents allowed him to drop out of high school at age 15 and complete the remainder of his education by home-schooling.
At age 17, he moved to Japan, where he cemented his skill as a programmer and began pitching his ideas to tech companies.
He moved back to New York and sold his services as a consultant. He founded Tumblr in 2007 at age 21 – and it quickly consumed all of his time.
He started up an office in Manhattan and has ardently resisted the lure of moving to Silicon Valley. He also tried to resist the money that the tech world had to offer.
He told the Guardian that he wanted to remain independent – believing he could grow the company by growing ad revenue naturally.
Within a year, though, he was accepting funds from venture capital investors.
He currently lives with his girlfriend Rachel Eakley in a modest apartment in Manhattan’s West Village. Miss Eakley is a chef and a graduate student studying psychology.
