Bio

Courtney “Kutthroat” Brandon was born a Scorpio in Indianapolis “Naptown”, IN. He is a far eastside representative and is an aspiring artist/performer who is inspired by the daily struggle of life and chooses to be an inspiration to others. Motivated by other people’s criticism, Kutthroat is eager to be a living testimony by using the stage as his podium. His unique ability to deliver a message through his songs will touch the hearts and souls of those willing to listen.
Being a product of his own environment by bearing witness and being a victim to the street life, he turned to music at the age of 14, as a release. Going by the name of “C-Note” back then, he was under a label called “Funk Boulevard Records” and then started his own group called “Deep End”, which consisted of two other artists.
He then evolved to “Kutthroat”. A female artist named “Coco” gave him the name because of his fierce lyrics and his ability to deliver a real nice lyrical content. He then was signed to another label “Kaution Klick Records”, out of Gary, IN. This label consisted of two other artist, Dennis “Hazzardous Smoke” Wilson and Kendall “Young Platt” Wilson.
“Kutthroat” decided to go as a solo artist realizing that other people were holding him down and you shouldn’t let people slow your progress.
He has performed in a variety of nightclubs and comedy clubs through-out Indianapolis and other cities.
What sets him apart from other artists? He is still trying to figure it out. Let him tell it, “I’m still trying to figure it out because we all share similar stories”.
There is a uniqueness about him and you will just have to figure it out by listening, really listening to his the music and words that he delivers.
Courtney “Kutthroat” Brandon realizes that he is not going to be able to rap forever, unless he chooses to, but he wants to be able to help other dreamers in this upcoming generation. So he is working on several other business ventures that will not only help him succeed but will allow others to believe and continue pursuing what it is they want out of life.
The road was lonely and rough but “Music is my Drug”!
