Youngin’ was born on August 2, 1991 as Maverick Kevan Searcy in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is determined to continue to carry the baton and share his musical talents like so many of his ancestors before him. At an early age Youngin’ would accompany his uncles to recording studios. This inspired him and his rap career began. In 2006, while living in Atlanta, Georgia Youngin was inspired by his favorite artist T.I. to write more and rap harder! At the age of 15 , Youngin’ formed his own rap group Done Deal the group included his sister, “Ms. Too Thick” and God brother “Tragedy”, they released a mix tape called Ruff Draft in 2007. In 2008 Youngin’ relocated to Orlando and the group split. Youngin’ joined Mama Boi Records rap group with his uncles Aaron“Conceeded” Mitchell and Tyrell “Gutta” Knighten. The group released two mix tapes (Progression and The Warm up). Youngin’ is dedicated to perfecting his craft. He has great faith and determination. Youngin’ puts his heart and soul into his writing and delivery of his music. Youngin’ believes that It’s not when he wants it! but, when God has planned it.
