The train was old school with cars that had bunk beds in them. There were a handful of strangers in the cabins from all over the world. My sister, friend and I worked our way to the food cart in the front of the train. These cars were like a regular train not euro rail, so when you go between cars you can see the sparks from the wheels and the country going by. It was rocking back and forth like a mf too. Lol. When we got to the front we made friends with some American guys and the train’s crew and partied all night. It was so fun, but kinda scary too because I remember them stopping the train to escort some creepy guy off in Switzerland. I think he was trying to skip countries or something. When they closed everything down and I got back to bunk they stopped the train again and I could hear them reading all of the passport numbers and names of the passengers to the new country customs and people were outside the train with flashlights. It was creepy. I fell asleep but when I woke up we were in Italy cruising through the Italian countryside. It was so AMAZINGLY beautiful. It was a 15 hour train ride. Quite the experience.

It’s one of my favorite memories. The creepy part of it made it interesting, but the Italian countryside was just as beautiful as they say it is. When the train stopped we were in Rome. I have got to say Rome is one of the most beautiful places i’ve been to. The paintings in the Vatican city are unreal and the St. Peters Basilica is so holy. You can definitely feel the presence of God there.
