David Clements is a domain investor, broker, former invested partner in both TRAFFIC ccTLDs (Domain Conference) and Rick Latona Auctions as well as the former co-owner of Cheesecake.com (yes, he’s even sold cheesecakes to develop a domain asset).

As an investor, David has personally owned and sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of premium generic domain names. Two publicly disclosed transactions are ePayments.com, which he bought for 16,500 USD and sold for 56,000 USD, and Cheesecake.com, which was purchased for 100,000 USD. Cheesecake.com was sold to GourmetGiftBaskets.com in 2012 for an undisclosed sum.

David was the managing partner for all international shows for TRAFFIC ccTLDs (Amsterdam, Milan, Vancouver, and Dublin). He also personally reviewed every single domain submission and negotiated all agreements for Rick Latona Auctions. David has managed over 20 million USD in domain sales between the auction company and private brokerage. A few of the 6-figure transactions he was involved with include Rio.com, Christian.com, Smartphones.com (sold to Samsung), Whiskey.com and SchoolLoans.com.
