Chef Melz De Grate (CM De Grate) started his career as a music artist in Gainesville, Fl 2003 where freestyling to hiphop beats were popular. He later then moved to his aunts house in 2004 after his mother went to drug rehab and hooked up with his cousin “Big Tay” who also was into music. Chef Melz was influenced heavily by “Big Tay” and started recording music. They both put out a mixtape and passed the tape around the high school he attended and everyone gravitated to the music.
In 2012 after a ton of life struggles Chef Melz never gave up with music after people telling him that he would not make it, he met up with his child hood friend Amp Supreme and created a mixtape called “The Good Things In Life are Free” and is still on a mission to create a bigger fan base today.
