Chucky, known by his nom de plume “ChuckysLife” is an American visual artist and musician-songwriter that gained popularity on the indie music and art scene. He propelled onto the Hip hop southern scene making beats in the Alabama-Tennesse-Georgia-Mississippi-Florida region. Chucky also attended college in efforts to obtain an art degree. Chucky began gaining attention in his region by producing records involving Alabama’s Birmingham J (in association with mom and pop record store Music & More) and Attitude (by way of Atlanta) and remixes of songs by indie artists Muffy Cupcakeopia (Bangladesh Records artist of Atlanta), Eryn Woods (LA), ICM model Kevin Dunnavant (LA), also remixes by major artists Ruben Studdard (AL), LMFAO, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, and Timbaland. Chucky is infamous for using the “indie” platform to originally produce records or remix songs while being very involved in the visual and creative development aspect of the record and artist performing on the record. Chucky compiled all of the remixes and released Reloaded on datpiff.com. In 2013 Chucky also released the “stream-tape” Team Edward on mtv.com which is a fusion of 80’s synth pop with trapped rhythms of southern hiphop and also features content references of 80’s urban and pop culture. Chucky’s third mixtape and sequel to Team Edward titled “King Edward” is scheduled to be released but a date is unknown.
