I don’t think many of us pay attention to how big the internet and cable industries are. Pixar doesn’t do a majority of its animation in California, they go to Lafayette, LA. State income tax payments are given to big companies who have the tax credit and doesn’t even go to the state for improvements.

Announcement #2
Originally I was going to begin this announcement with a meaningful quote, but I couldn’t find one. I tried to create one on my own, but nothing sounded deep and wise enough. Then I decided I’ll just type.
Like all great things there are push backs because of a window of opportunity to not rush. Pushing The Music is still coming, just a little later. The initial launch date was June 1st and now it will be Thursday, August 1, 2013. I don’t believe in rushing Pushing The Music only bettering it. The more I work on my company the more I realize I can make it better. Rushing, cutting corners, sloppy work are not the bees knees for me and it never has been. If I’m going to commit to something then I will deliver above and beyond. You never know how much better a product can be if you spent a little more time on it.
Come August 1st independent artists will begin the journey to being pushed the top of the charts.

Im going to be the first to say this and I may receive flack for it, but I rather be honest. To me the content on here is becoming repetitive and not fresh. Its a lot of the same stuff. It’s not terrible but its not exciting.
”You get out what you put in” one may say but that only goes so far.
I think back to the REAL OGs of the site and wonder what caused them to be inactive? What would have caused them to hang around? Im noticing more and more people becoming less and less active. Im not saying we have to bend over backwards to keep people but I think a reboot would help greatly.
I have several ideas like the journalists and the entertainment reviews. If G14ers are posting write ups on albums, other users music, movies, books, news, etc it’ll help. Also if we dedicated a day to listening to users music and we voted then an entire week would be dedicating to promoting that artist.
My intentions are not to be rude but Im being simply honest. What are your thoughts? Any ideas do you have that we can do for fresh, new, dope content?

I do get we can post whatever. Im just trying to find out what would we all care to read about and etc. I havent posted a full review yet. I have posted small reviews on certain things but I just want to know what do people care to read about. My intentions werent to bash.
Finding out what people wanna read is no different than artist posting music, you have to figure out how to spark conversation and interest
i think you should be the 1st to start the write ups(reviews) and see how it goes. See what type of feed back you get. If need be add mentions in the comments. The only way to see how something works is to get the ball rolling yourself. I know from Putting so much energy into the pod Group @ienvyno12005 and myself and a few others. we got a lil help from. Ive learned that everyone isn’t as passionate about certain things that i may be passionate about . So if you want it to be a group effort you have to find like minded indivisuals that can get involved , or it can be something you can do solo which i suggest.
Yeah I def want to start the reviews but I want to know what everyone else is thinking too about what can be added. Like what are others wanting to read about? Would others read it? Youre right tho.
Me personally i like reviews ima geek like that. Reviews on Food ,Sports ,Movies ,Music, Vacation Spots,Books, The artist we have in Pump it or Dump could def use some reviews on their Material. You post it ill read it

PPl have short attention spans whatever isn’t super convient becomes a hassle after a while. Global 14 isnt mobile phone friendly yet so your gonna have some turnover its only natural. Having to have photobucket to upload pics which is what most vain social network ppl want to do anyways is a problem for the casual user. For ppl who really want a conversation of interest, they love it because you can get it here but then when they log in and see a page full of spam they have to get passed or a bunch of the same videos in a row it again becomes not user friendly. Demographic in any business is everything conventional or digital, This is mostly a musicisan demo, All these musicians on this site are craving for views and comments on their shit only, they could care less about what your talking about. Posting their music is what interest them or building their fanbase. Take Onyx and Myself, our radio show has actual celebs, bloggers, label reps, actors and actresses etc on the show every week, but if we aren’t playing one of the members song that week they won’t listen. Shit most of our audience find us from elsewhere, their not even from this site, A show where you can speak to ppl that you probably couldnt even get 5 mins with in real life and they still don’t call up. But we kept it moving and grew it the right way, now we getting invited to red carpet shit and the ppl are calling us to be interviewed. You just rolled out something you are doing called Pusing the Music, you didnt reach out to us so we could tell our audience about it and you know we have the show, And don’t think Im speakin in any ill manner because im not, my point is that ppl are going to do what they want to do and if others gravitate toward it then it means that they are interested, period. Only thing that needs to be fixed is the spam, better mobile access and the artist should only be allowed to post their vid 1 time somewhere. When you comment I mostly see it on @JD posts and when I go on your page to see if I can comment on something your saying most of them have started with ”Today I won’t be nosey, I will mind my business etc. ppl can’t start a interesting convo about a self note that you are leaving for yourself, tht would be kinda weird. So your premise is correct on keeping things fresh but lets not talk about it lets be about it.

When you introduced what you were doing with your company you were looking for feedback from G14 members correct? Correct or else you would have never posted it here. you @’d ppl who you thought may be interested and you got feedback. That’s a good thing, It was something interesting and not a note to yourself. You said that more and more are becoming inactive, how do you know that they don’t just log in, look at the feed, read things etc just like you do but they just don’t feel like commenting. You talk about dedicating a day to artist but you haven’t done any of that, Maybe I forgot how active you were with the POD group but I don’t remember you being apart of that. I say all of that to say this, everything you are mentioning has been done. Qpid wrote extensive reviews on things, Ash and Ben had POD group, Onyx and I have the radio show, Have you reached out to anyone when those things were happening and added anything to assist in what they were doing if you did and I didnt know about it then thats cool. But from what I see, ppl love to bring up what can be fresher about the site and keep ppls interest when in fact there are so many different groups and topics that do that but you can’t control what a specific indivdual does and what time they decide to do it. You are the perfect example of that, you used to write self notes, now you have decided not to, you never reviewed or promo’d any artist from here that I have seen, now you want to, see ppl do things on their time when they feel like it, that doesnt mean the platform hasn’t always been here. Again, this isnt an attack just and honest observation in the same vain as your original post.

It seems as though people are taking ”REAL OGs” out of context. By ”REAL OGs” I mean the people who started out when the site originally launched, but has nothing to do with the current, new, and potential users. To me ”REAL OGs” has been taken in a bad light that it wasn’t meant for and ran with.

When you discuss homosexuality and other Biblical material, to me, it comes off as ”fire and brimstone” but you have to remember what’s said in a few seconds can cause months or years of hurt to recover from. You can do whatever you want to on this site, most of the things you are talking about have already been done. PPl just didn’t care for some reason. Where were you when they were going on? I’ll tell you, you were staying in you circle of ppl commenting on mostly everything they posted, you were also trying to stop yourself from being nosey. The entire purpose of this post was to generate ideas and all things positive. I wanted to know what you all would be interested in reading a review about. The aim was not to be spiteful, rude, or vindictive. The overall message was completely missed by most. This should not have turned into a take jabs at people series or let’s see who we could be rude to. That wasn’t the aim. The aim was the get content on here that we as a community would enjoy. I don’t know how ”REAL OGs” became a negative energy and taken on a marathon. Wasn’t referring to or being subliminal in anyway.
We still have the chance to put in our ideas and discuss our definition of ”fresh”.

Service Dog Arrives At College Graduation In Cap And Gown, Becomes A Celebrity
A young woman and her service dog caused quite a stir over the weekend when they both showed up to her college graduation ceremony dressed in matching caps and gowns.
On Sunday, this photograph — which shows the graduate at the side of the stage in a wheelchair accompanied by her pooch — went viral after it was posted online by Redditor tcjones54:
”The girl and the dog received the loudest applause hands down. Very adorable,” tcjones54 wrote.
According to posts on Reddit, the photo was taken at the Saturday convocation ceremony of the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign.
”This picture is everything that is right in the world,” wrote Redditor AndreThreeHundred.
Then, a day after the original post went viral, the woman in the photograph uploaded another picture to Reddit.
”This is my service dog, Hero, after we graduated with our Master’s degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,” she wrote in a caption accompanying this Imgur photo.
”Hero knows over forty commands to assist me,” she added on Reddit on Monday, adding that the dog had been quite the ”celebrity” at the graduation ceremony. ”He loves to retrieve objects for my like envelopes, pens, my crutches, etc. He also turns off the lights, opens doors, and he pulls me in my wheelchair up ramps! I couldn’t have gone to college without him.”
