Marc Ecko’s no stranger when it comes to Star Wars, and Star Wars themed apparel, as is evident by his line of hoodies inspired by that galaxy far, far away. But it looks like he’s recently teamed up with Timex as well to produce a series of Star Wars themed watches that so far only look slightly dorky.
This post on The Marc Ecko Blog actually dates back to July, but it shows off a couple of watch designs including a Stormtrooper model and a Boba Fett one, which each feature a mixture of metals, rubber and nylons as well as sounds and light-up ‘Indiglo’ features. Pricing and availability info is still scarce, though the blog post does mention “Holiday 2009″ so if there’s aStar Wars fan on your Christmas list you might want to keep an eye out for them.

So you want to eliminate the middle man and you believe
that the music industry won’t survive without social networking?
One way you can prove your theory is to find an artist/group, market them
exclusively on your connections and your newfound new media prowess, and
distribute that release independently. Deleting the major label machine
from the equation is the best way measure your social networking muscle
since the results will be based solely upon the artist and your marketing techniques.
If your theory holds up you should be able to move at least 15,000 units
of said release 1st week, which is better than bottom barrel artists that the
majors are throwing out there now with no promotion. Oh yeah, and ease
off the Stalinist mindset of blogging- regulating ya comments. Let a little hate get
thru as long as it ain’t profane cuz every good site got a mix of good & bad.
