Manu Ginobili announced on his Twitter account that he would be returning to the San Antonio Spursto make a run at another championship.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported the terms of Ginobili’s contract are still being worked on.
On July 5, ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reported the Spurs were “even more determined” to push Ginobili into coming back for one more season with LaMarcus Aldridge now in the fold.
“Pop told us he wanted Tim [Duncan] and me back next season,” Ginobili wrote in a recent La Nacion column, per Stein. “Those words make things very difficult. Honestly, if the franchise said they didn’t want me or it was time to rebuild and wanted a younger team, that would have made things very easy for me.”
