IMO That Ron Brownz joint wasn’t New York, he was copying T Pain’s move with a little twist and that’s why he stayed relevant for the short time he did. Again it was a southern type of sound that was popular at the time and New York had to fuck with it and put out what they could. Jimmy caught that hit because he did something that was popular, certain artist can do that because they don’t have a concrete style and sound so they can play around and get away with it. He is not taken seriously as a real rapper, people see him as Cam’s man that decided to put out a few projects.
