  3. Jermaine dupri I read your book..And its good and funny had me laughing at the beginning..very interesting. Them conventions do be long and sometimes boring but you can learn from them. ….Living the life dats wats up…

  4. All You Need To Know About The Music Business by Donald Passman will give you a basic understanding of how the music business works. He covers what’s in a standard record deal, publishing, merchandising, licensing, touring and etc. For example, you can license any song for audio release that’s release to the public for 9.1 cent a copy. You can remake the track and put your version of it up for sale on iTunes. Harry Fox Agency handles most of the licensing for most major songwriters. I learn that from this book.

    The book will give you enough information to not signed some deal where you are getting completely raped by some industry people. LOL!!!

    I never understand people that enter the industry and don’t understand how to get paid off it from the start. This is why innovators never get rich off their innovation. It’s always the guys the figures out how to get paid off it are the ones the get rich.

    The inside information about the industry like how to get your song on radio. Industry people never really tell you how to do that. When you hear JD saying I got to go set the record up in this city, what exactly does that mean? You usually hear them say radio promotion but that’s about it. LOL!!
