    The Oscars are a designer’s wet dream. They prepare all year-round & scout ppl to wear their clothes.
    Having a nominated actress wear your dress, means a high chance of blowing up – if not already.
    eg. Elie Saab. He wasn’t mainstream until Halle Berry won in his dress. Now his clientele includes royalty.

    W/ the Grammys, ppl just try to stay ‘true’ to their artform: country artists in cowboy boots & hats, rappers showing off their latest bling & the pop stars in extravagant costumes. People dress the way their genres of music have dictated for them.

    DAngelo- I don’t understand what makes people do certain things. I try not to judge but damn $40 for some head..its sad. Maybe he can’t perform for chicks, maybe prostitutes are his thing. Question is how many times has he done it that he’s now getting caught???

    Oscars vs. Grammys- what you see at the award shows is only a reflection of how the people feel about the art. Actors take themselves seriously and are about bring the best performance forward. Musicians now are extremely saturated, redundant, and lack creativity. 5% are serious about the art and 1% of that 5 are on powerful labels. It’s really sad.

    JD you should look into film scores. That way you can go to the Oscars on your Tom Ford shit!

  10. It’s been awhile so, welcome back!! The oscars has always been about which actor or actress killed on screen, the soundtrabk & last but not least, the writer. The grammys gives awards for musics best in every genre. With both the oscars & grammys it’s about the scheduled performances & the fashion because, if these two components weren’t included i would never watch either of them!!!

  11. The reason why the Oscars look so much better then the grammys to you is because you are getting more mature. Your taste are changing with age. Most of them people at the Oscars are older and are classier. The grammys will never be on that level as long as we have so many young artist.

    Yall going hard on Deangilo but we all pay. When you purchased Janet that first telephone/pager…. You were paying…. ALL MEN PAY……. I’m just trying to figure out how he was only going to pay $40 when he had 12 stacks…. that is funny….

    To change the Grammys, you are already doing what needs to be done and that is by bringing back quality music (Dondria)

    To me all the award shows are not good the oscars, gloden globe awards suck but I must say all them people who go to those two shows always dressed to the T! Always look fly and pretty but the show suck happy about Mo, Oprah, And Tyler. All the award shows back then were soooooooo much better high energy I’ve been to 2 back in the day it was fun

  14. Firstly I am glad the boys are back together even if it 4/7th.

    On the D’Angelo thing I think he was just bored and wanted some excitement. I mean no disrespect to Angie but if he was getting it good at home they could’ve roleplayed like Trey says and do a solicitation piece and then he could give Angie the 40 bux that way he would not be arrested, not be in trouble and they both coulda had fun with it.

    As for the Oscars I agree with Spock JD, the older you get the more you start seeking things that are more classy than trendy. The Oscars are about the designers and no designer is going to design something that is not classy for the red carpet. The Grammys are for people who want to be comfortable in their own skin and is not as superficial as the Oscars. I mean 3/4’s of the people were talking about going out for burgers and fries after the show because they have been dieting for months to fit into their dress or tux. Its ridiculous. JD you have your Ocean’s movement and you and the boys have set a standard for the music biz so just do you and the rest will follow.

    I’m just wondering why head is still $40 dollars, the price hasn’t gone up in like 15 years (I only know this because I have a gang of knucklehead brothers and they did dumb stuff when they were younger, lol). Is that just NYC or is it all over the country?

    Anyway, I gotta agree with B. Cox I think he was bored. People do dumb things when they’re bored.

Its funny when i watch the fashion police for the grammys and they commented on somethen Keri Hilson had on and said it would be better for the Oscars, But they dont understand that the Grammys is kinda ‘OUR’ Oscars. But its funny because T-pain was at the grammy in jeans and a T-shirt. As for D’Angelo “Sam Jackson” on his ass!!
