LETTER TO THE LAMBS

WHAT MY TIMELINE LOOKS LIKE EVERY MORNING WHEN I WAKE UP

Okay enough is enough!! I can’t continue to let you think, what you see or don’t see is a result of me not knowing what I’m doing, this is bigger than me and in the music business things don’t go as fast as you would always like them to, if you know my history, you know I want to go down as one of the greatest produces of all times, I want to be mentioned with the greats like berry Gordy and Clive Davis when people talk about putting out artist, so for me,allowing you to believe I don’t care about the promotion of the Mariah record and I don’t see you screaming at me, that this song and that song needs to be a single, goes against everything that I’m about, believe me! everything that you question Will be answered ASAP!!!!

  1. Lol that’s why I freaking love you and you are my role model! These people just looking from on the outside so you can’t be too surprised! But common sense why would you NOT care about the album lol do you unc I know you know what you doing!

  2. JD, we know it’s not your fault. You will go down as one of the greats, and you’re an incredible friend to Mariah. In my humble opinion, her new album is the best of her career, and you oversaw the whole project.

Regarding the single, “You Don’t Know What To Do” is the new “We Belong Together.” Remember how Mariah had no idea “We Belong Together” was going to be a big song? Or how the public chose “Dark Horse” as Katy Perry’s third single even though she had another one planned? This is the same situation. It’s going to be huge. You and MC went in IN on that track (AND “Make It Look Good,” my other favorite….”Dedicated” third).

Anyway, don’t sweat it. You’ve always been very perceptive and there’s a lot of red tape bullshit that many fans don’t consider. I appreciate your hustle and honesty.

  3. Speaking of singles…Make it Look Good and Supernatural are great choices.. 😀

  4. Its okay JD we all understand. In the mean time the lambs should check out my latest renditions on youtube…i did thirsty, dedicated, you dont know what to do, and heavenly.

  5. Don’t worry, it’s not your fault, is Mariah’s one for hiring you as her manager. Obviously you are her friend and she do whatever she want to do. She works better when she is under control (not talking about Mottola) but L.A. Reid was tougher with her and she was more into her CD’s.

I think that normal people barely know that Mariah Carey has released a new album. She’s been nowhere, delaying the record for years and a really bad promo, consisting in a budget special (2 million people saw it, most of them old people) and a WMA performance that we will never watch because that “technical problems”.

It’s a pity, seeing Mariah’s album out of top20 on her second week and seeing all her singles flopping, well, buzz singles 🙂

  6. People go by what they see and don’t understand what they don’t. Mariah’s album is great and people will see that as soon as the plan you’ve put forth is revealed. People are being too “thirsty” lol

  7. You’re an amazing producer and you have helped Mariah create some of her best songs.

Make It Look Good and Supernatural are great songs, but MILG would be better for an adult contemporary audience. Supernatural would not do well as a single, even though it’s in my top three of the album.

Money,Faded and Meteorite would be good singles. Too bad about the WMAs being cancelled.

How come no print, tv or radio promo? Or an amazing YDKWTD video in conjunction with the release?

I think fans will agree that this is one of her best post-Columbia releases and its such a shame to see a great album get slept on.

Please send the angry fans and lambs to http://mcfortherecord.boards.net/ so they can vent their frustration with other fans. And so they can talk about positive Mariah stuff. We even have a section for #dembabies!
