Leaving ISLAND Def Jam is the best thing you could do at this point, The label has not been respected since the late 90s when they had more of a promising brand on the market.Now the name says nothing to the consumer because its just another record label and the only plus they can bring to the table is a nice check for future products.
Q da kid has a future in the music business but lets be practical with the fact that the airwaves are crammed with such horrible music that your actual targeted market base that would listen to his music is not even tuning in for you to try and sale to them.
We need more people like you that actually understand the creation and appeal of Hip Hop to take over again so we can hear more Q da kids and less ABC rappers on the radio.
Go grass roots with this kid and give the huge conglomerates the middle finger until they get there business right.
On a side note I like that fact you are jumping on everybody’s songs and doing remixes.It keeps you relevant at all times and still in the public eye.That’s a good blue print.
