  1. Welp…there you have it. Haven’t heard it explained better.

  2. That is the truth, well said and I am so tired of it. It is a reoccurring phenomenon in various forms within various genres & industries. This same truth caused jazz musicians to have very unhappy existences because there stuff was stolen, then commercialized and they weren’t validated. The whole era of bebop was predicated upon it. Again, definitely true and sad.

  3. Hahahaha… Really? I blame Black America not knowing how to “MARKET” what we give to the world… well, except for ppl like Micheal Jordan or Russell Simmins – but largely, “White America” didn’t steal anything, it was there for the taken because why “we” black folks sit around and wait for them to give us the green flag on what’s “Hot” (Versace gear, Rolex watches, Lambos or Ferraris) we should be learning about Trade Mark laws and registering every aspect of our culture because its all about business and money sense!

So please stop it with your “White folks stole this and that from us” BS! Learn something about business and the very culture in which we Black Americans give to the world… but only this time —–> PUT A PRICE TAG ON IT… and sell it as a package deal!

    Now that’s “Real Talk”!
