Facebook has announced that it will enable a new feature that lets users send money to each other through its Messenger application. A statement came out today via the Facebook blog that said it’s expecting the new tool will be rolled out on desktop and mobile devices in the coming months. Users will have to link their debit card to their Facebook account in order to perform money transfers, which can be done by initiating a conversation with a friend, tapping the “$” icon and entering the amount they wish to send. International users will receive access to the service once it picks up steam in the U.S.
