I think that johnta austin is a very talented songwriter- probably one of the most successful in the game, but it seems as though he jus can’t break into the industry as an artist.And with all these writers and producers putting out albums (Keri hilson,The Dream on his second,Ryan Leslie, ect),Austin has to feel some kind of way suffering from the Sean Garrett syndrome.Ocean Drive has songs leaking left and right,but seems as though it will never see the light of day.His material isn’t bad,and his voice isn’t half bad either…so why can’t johnta catch on – CONCRETELOOP.COM

I believe that Johnta has a GOD given voice and god does not grace people and do not give them their time to shine, especially with the many talents that he has blessed him with it’s only a matter time before people come to their senses and realize that he is one of the best male vocalist that is under rated and he will soon get the acknowledgement as being one of the best.
I don’t think in this case the blog was negative. It seems as if the writer is feeling Johnta’s music but is just concerned that it isn’t getting the exposure it deserves. I have been following you’ll from the beginning and although I know you’ll have great music and a strong movement, I’m not sure either, how that will translate into record sales and general success of your artistes. What I do know is that you have your following of which I am a part of so that is a good start.
It’s going to take people inside the industry like yourself, correcting the bad or incomplete information posted by bloggers. Some of the bloggers will post corrections/retractions when the misdeed is brought to their attention. I’m sure you’re not interested in correcting them, but that is the only way they will learn to do better.
Research is key to everything.

It would at first seem the way bloggers are saying he just aint it; however, once I heard his music, I thought ok this guy has a nice sound, but yes I did say, BUT…. I think you are messing up his image with the way he’s allowed to say and do anything on your blog. It always isn’t a good thing to let people know how you really feel, then turn around and play like you some softy with the women when it comes to the lyrics.

I think what ou are doing here is amazing.I can honestly say I had no idea who Johnta was until I became a member. I don’t wanna seem shallow but this is the first thing I do when I get home from work .I can’t wait to see what we are talking about,or how you are “living the life”. Bloggers are retarded,but that one was actually kind of head on. ANd I said KIND of. Honestly Johnta is a great artist to me. Nothing in life comes easy, and if it does then there is definately going to be a downfall somehow.And thats why I know when Johnta does hit big they’ll be no stopping him. When you talk about keri Hilson, The Dream, and Neyo, you have to look at how long it took them to come out. Keri Hilson is an excellent songwriter(and has been for a few years now) and a pretty good artist. Neyo the same but the Dream annoys me to no end and I would pick Johnta anyday over him. Plus he is a fine man. I want to her real music, not this bullshit that people are pushing now. Autotuned out voices that have no reason to be on the radio. Myself being a church girl born and raised I have heard voices and songwriters out of this world and people dont realize that there are some unsigned people who would blow these people out the water. Johnta is a real artist and when he comes out full throtal I would love to hear what that blogger has to say about it. They say you save the best for last, and even though Johnta may seem to be on the bottom to some people I think he is one of the best.

To answer your question, hell no, they don’t care. I use to visit blogs on a daily, but I found myself correcting them on shit. They don’t take the time to research, they just post shit, and some are worse than others and we all know who I’m referring to. Some make up shit to get hits. More hits = more money

No, bloggers don’t care but Johnta still has to keep it real and keep it pushin’. It’s what he does as far as making hits and giving a performance night in and night out that the people will feel. Play your cards right Johta and you will bloom like a flower. Remember this, a caterpillar can’t become a butterfly until it’s time!
Johnta has a great voice and he’s really talented. So it’s not necessary to rush on things. Just make sure that you bring out a nice r&b album, cause the r&b songs are ridiculous right now. You hear the dream everywhere. His beats are really annoying right now. Sean garret is a producer and that’s the only thing that he must do. So Johnta, don’t rush with the album, just take your time and make sure that all your tracks are hot.

Blogging has become the new thing in the industry from artists to fans. There are so many artists who try to front like they not blogging when they really are. It keeps people relevant and with that relevancy often comes discrepancies or flat out lies. People don’t care about the truth they care about how many hits I can get or how much of a buzz I can create. While that’s all good, the public is being misinformed due to lack of integrity in what your write and post.
Imma lifer…. To my other lifers who say they check this after work, I definitely check this,youtube, and twitter right after class as well. This is definitely a source for me to say current in what’s going on and laying the groundwork for me to see how I’m about to live the life. I turn 21 this year and I’m saving up to go to Vegas just so I can stunt 1 time like the OCEANS6…..

I think that this Blog is working out just as JD planned. I didn’t know anything about Johnta. Now I know everything. I have learned how long dude as been putting in work which is very valuable. People always want to make statements when they only have pieces of information. I say fuck em’, not only is Johnta super talented, but I believe that he is going to have the album of the decade. I have been a fan since day one, and I feel like Johnta makes classic songs. He has a raspy quality to his voice mixed with amazing vocal control, and lyrics that other writers can’t touch.
You guys are making music the way it should be, makes you wanna put the seat back in the whip, tell your girl to shut the hell up and just cruise like its Sunday. This shit is important and this album succeeding is personally important to me. I grew up on r&b and soul and Johnta is one of the few artists that truly represents it right. It really depends on what blog you’re reading and what the intent it is. I think a great deal of a bloggers concern is getting followers like you’ve done here. But then the question is how far will some of these bloggers go to get a hit on their site? Many of the gossip blogs have advertisements and they’re primarily concerned with hits. Mediatakeout is a prime example of a blog that posts pure bullshit just for hits. I think it’s cool that you personally addressed this story concering your artist. Most music CEOs wouldn’t have time for that. There is definitely value in addressing your artists fan base directly.

Some press can be very damaging to an artist’s career. If the media machine decides to go against an artist, it can just about take an act of God to get the artist’s career back on track. For example, look at the Chris Brown situation. Those pictures that TMZ posted was damaging to his image, which could translate to a loss of income. I believe in good old fashioned communication. Just like JD is doing here.
I read the blog on Concrete Loop. I didn’t take it as a negative. It’s just that with certain blogs you can never hear the true story thats why I like to follow artist personal blogs because it keeps you in tuned with what’s really going on with the artist and their daily struggles.
Look at the end of the day this is a business an everybody is entitled to their opinion. I think part of us not being exposed to Johnta was you (JD) leaving Def Jam but I honestly don’t think that Johnta was getting the exposure he needs. I think his writing is so in tuned and his music is relevant and his personality well speaks for itself. He’s already an artist.
