The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio will be in theaters on Christmas.

Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection, opening in theaters on June 29.

The mafia drama depicts the Los Angeles Police Department’s fight to keep Brooklyn-born mob boss Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) from running 1940s LA. Based on Paul Lieberman’s “Tales From the Gangster Squad” articles, the film stars Nick Nolte as LAPD Chief “Whiskey Bill” Parker alongside Sergeants John O’Mara and Jerry Wooters, played by Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone as a mafia moll and Wooters’ love interest. Gangster Squad is set to hit theaters on October 19, 2012.

The film starts Will Ferrell and Zack Galifianakis as congressional rivals from the South. This film is expected to hit theaters on August 10th, 2012.

The Dark Knight Rises is slated to be in movie theaters on July 20.

Ice-T‘s documentary on the craft of hip-hop lyricism in which he interviews over 50 of the great MC’s  including Chuck D, Grandmaster Caz, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Melle Mel, Q-Tip, Redman, Mos Def, Afrika Bambaataa, B Real, Immortal Tecnique, Ice Cube, MC Lyte, Nas, Dr. Dre, KRS One, Common, Kanye West, and many more. In theaters on June 15th.

Blake Lively (Ophelia) is getting it on with two buddies, Ben and Chon, who work as medical pot dealers in a sunny Southern California beach town. The Mexican Baja Cartel  lead by Salma Hayek moves into town, demanding a partnership. Ben and Chon refuse, starting a turf war that results in Lively getting kidnapped and held hostage by the cartel. Benicio Del Toro plays Hayek’s henchman and John Travolta is a DEA agent. Savages hits theaters July 6th, 2012.

Before her passing Whitney Houston was filming  what would be final on screen appearances in the new film Sparkle which was inspired by The Supremes.  This film stars The film stars Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Cee Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Vickie Winans and Omari Hardwick. This film will be in theaters on August 18.
