The cool SKLZ Shoot-Around is kind of a shooting trainer assistant, basically it is a chute that attaches to the rim and “returns” the ball to the player, meaning, more time shooting, less time chasing! It features a 180-degree rotation system allowing you to practice from all angles on the court. Of course, this product was conceived for a decent basketball player, if you´re worried about missing a lot of shots the Rapid Fire Basketball Training Aid would probably be a better solution for you since it returns both made and missed shots.

Just when you thought the megapixel could not get any more ridiculous, Nikon goes and unleashes a monster of a camera, the 36 megapixel D800 ($3,000). The new full frame FX camera will shoot enormous 7360 x 4912 resolution photos and will feature 1080p video at 30, 25, and 24 fps, 51 point AF, CF and SD memory card storage, and USB 3.0 connectivity. And for the sharpest image possible, Nikon will also have a D800E which removes the anti aliasing filter. Link

AVID STUDIO RELEASES VIDEO EDITING APP FOR IPAD

Avid has provided an special Avid Studio app for the iPad that is supposed to complement its AVID Studio on desktop PCs. It’s classified as a “prosumer” app and will supposedly do most things desktop editing suites can do, but it really won’t be able to execute on everything. Some downfalls to the new app include: pro-level editors working on a smaller screen, not having the ability to export a Flash video fire and burn video files to a CD or DV and users won’t want to export lots of large, high-def. video files on the iPad because it’ll take up too much space. But at $4.99, the app is pretty cheap, but the price will jump to $8 next month.

PENTAX borrows a handy feature from DSLR cameras and applies it to this Optio VS20 point and shoot camera. This new little guy features a vertical shutter button, which will aid when it comes to taking steadier vertical photos. Other features include a 16MP sensor and a 20x optical zoom. This camera is set to drop in February of this year.
