I love B. Cox, but this song would be great with someone else singing it…for example, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Lloyd, etc.

Critically and respectfully speaking, I saw the video of Cox recording this but I thought it was a demo. I like the music and I like the words, however, I think this should have went to a singer with a stronger voice. I’m not sure it should be R&B either. This FEELS like a pop/dance anthem. Like something Cher, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez or Madonna would sing and there would be lots of Dance Remixes. I don’t think this would work for a Black star unless it was a voice synonymous with House Music. JLo is an exception because she had a song like this before. The song is about the FEEL and danceability, not the video and typical American marketing scheme. This could go to a global market and WORK.
Just my opinion.
Love it, but it would be better with a stronger voice. E.g If Johnta were on vocals. Love where it’s going though.
