BAPE sold for $2.8 Million
THIS IS SAD TO ME IN A COUPLE OF WAYS BUT THIS PRICE SEEMS LOW
Yes it’s True! Hong King’s I.T. bought 90% of A Bathing Ape aka BAPE for $2.8 million. The group plans to add NOWHERE and BAPE to their portfolio with NIGO remaining as creative director for two years to oversee the new direction. This could be a great move for BAPE, looking forward to seeing whats to come in the next couple of years.

No offence. But that figure must be wrong. And not being funny nor acting a fool, I wudda bought that for tht much. Figures are wrong for real. Let’s see if Nigo keeps the designs as creative as he has been doing. Sad times.

also you need to think about BAPE is NOT mass distrubuted..its still hard to find and hard to get and crazy expensive…so this number seems right…but now we need to see what they do with the brand.

he should have crossed over to bigger sizes….he would have doubled his sales two times over.
I think all things run it’s course… Great move for both. Now Nigo can start something fresh but the price did seem low to me.
